"Natalie Meiser of the Denver Post reported Wednesday night that multiple sources indicated that BYU could announce as early as Thursday that it is staying in the Mountain West Conference. So much for the report that school officials had reached out to the West Coast Conference.

It's not known if the MWC has arranged with its TV partners for BYU to take control of some of its game rights, for BYUtv, or if the Cougars were able to get Utah State on board as the MWC's 12th member.
