The Jaguars lead the NFL in red zone touchdown percentage (35.5 –11 of 31). The next closest team is Baltimore (40.7 percent).

And it’s relatively legit. Opponents have only two kneel-down red zone possessions. The Jaguars have forced three turnovers inside the 20 – two interceptions and a fumble.

Opposing quarterbacks are 24-of-40 for 120 yards, seven touchdowns, the two interceptions and an 83.3 rating.

THIRD DOWN OFFENSE

Jeremiah Georgeot egyre többet emlegetik a helyi sajtóban és már a hivatalos oldalon is, szóval lehet komolyabb szerepet kap majd vasárnap. Bár George MLB, és ott meg Thomas jól játszott múlt héten, szóval nem tudom hol lenne helye. Ha csak... nem akarjuk őt berakni középre és Thomas visszarakni OTTOba, ahol J. T. jól játszott.

Ha már MLB poszt, Prisco már le is írta, ghhogy Poz bajban lehet, ha Thomas továbbra is jó lesz középen.

The Jaguars and Paul Posluszny: The Jaguars could have an interesting decision to make next year on linebacker Paul Posluszny, especially if J.T. Thomas plays like he did last week against the Dolphins. Posluszny, who is out for the year with a torn biceps tendon, is schedule to have a cap figure of $9.45 million with a base salary of $7.45 million. He is a good player, and the leader of the young defense. Before his injury, he was the one getting the youthful defense lined up right. He's also good against the run and is great in the locker room. But he isn't fast, and that shows up. That's also a lot of money to pay for what will soon be a two-down linebacker.

As for Thomas, he impressed when he started at the "Otto" linebacker spot, so they moved him inside when Posluszny went down against Cleveland. In his first start in the middle last week against Miami, Thomas flashed the speed to get to the football that Posluszny doesn't have. On a screen early in the third quarter, Thomas showed off his speed to get to Lamar Miller and help Telvin Smith, another fast linebacker, to drop him for a 2-yard loss. He also had a pick off a Smith deflection.

Thomas, who does try to jump around blocks sometimes instead of taking them head on, made some other nice plays to show off his speed, which is why if he keeps playing that way the rest of the season, it could be the end for Posluszny in Jacksonville. I know the organization has great respect for Posluszny, and they have a ton of cap room to keep him, but I would imagine he would be asked to take a pay cut if he were to stay.

Keep an eye on Thomas moving forward. The speedy linebackers are key to the defense in Seattle and Jaguars coach Gus Bradley was the defensive coordinator there before taking the Jaguars job two years ago.

Rookie tackles are struggling, rookie guards are not: Cleveland's Joel Bitonio, Jacksonville's Brandon Linder and Zack Martin of the Cowboys are all playing at a high level. Linder has been Jacksonville's best lineman and Bitonio and Martin are in the same conversation for their teams, even with good left tackles in Joe Thomas (Browns) and Tyron Smith (Cowboys). Martin was a first-round pick by the Cowboys, but Bitonio came in the second and Linder in the third. All three have a real chance to be Pro Bowl players down the road if they can stay healthy.

Oakland's Gabe Jackson, Carolina's Trai Turner, Kansas City's Zach Fulton and Jake Mewhort of the Colts has also done some good things as starters. The rookie guard class is way further along than the tackles.

Bakker, Burfict mellett Bernard is OUT nálunk. A védelem és a támadósor legfontosabb emberei. Az eddigi hiányzók mellé ez k..... kellett. Így már lassan létszükséglet lesz AJ játéka. Nem vagyok benne biztos, hogy még mindig mi vagyunk a mérkőzés esélyesei... 😕megyerikrisz

Viccet félretéve, a secondarynk szerintem sebezhető, főleg ha Greene játszik, és csak futással mi nem fogunk nyerni. A secondarytek meg ahogy tudom, jobb mint valaha (tőbb INTtetek van, mint engedett passzolt TDtek), az meg több mint kecsegtető a liga jelenlegi pickleadere ellen.
Majd kiderül mi lesz. Nálam még mindig a Bengals meccs toronymagas esélyese.
