Luepke beceneve a Dakotrakrtor, ez mindent elmond. Az Arizona ellen tavaly majdnem 200 yardya volt és 3 TD-je. Ha jó támadókoordinátorhoz kerül, TD és 1st down gyár lesz. A döntő1. South Dakota State - 3. North Dakota State 45-21
Mi történt: Az alapszakaszban a Jackrabbitsnek komoly hajrára volt szükése a 2. félidőben a győzelemhez, de Friscoban már az első pillanattól rajta volt a nyuszitappancsuk a gázon . Az 7 driveból 6-ból sikerült pontot szerezni és kialakítani egy 39-14-es előnyt a 3. negyedre(417-186-os előnyt szerezve támadóyardokban.
Game Balls: Az SDSU QB-ja, Mark Gronowski magabiztosan vezényelte le a Jacksrabbits támadósorát, és teljesen megérdemelten kapta meg a döntő MVP díját. Amikor a South Dakota State legutóbb FCS döntőt játszott, az irányító megsérült a mérkőzés alatt és több mint egy évet ki kellett hagynia. Most 280 yardban volt valamilyen szerepe és 4 TD-t szerzett (3-at passzolva, 1-et futva).
A védelem oldaláról az OLB Jason Freeman érdemel nagy dicséretet, mert az ő vezetésével sikerült megfogni a Bison támadósorát. Freeman szezoncsúcsot jelentő 10 szerelést mutatott be (8 szóló), és 3-0-ra módosította a turnoverek csatáját 4. negyedes INT-jével.

A Jackrabbits 45 pontja a legtöbb volt, mióta az Appalachian State 49 pontot szerzett a Delaware ellen a 2007-es döntőben. A 31 első félidőben engedett pont a legtöbb volt amit a Bison D 2002 óta, amikor még a harmadosztályban játszottak... 2009-ben kaptak utoljára 45-nél több pontot, 48-at még a Sam Houston Statetől. Az SDSU sikeresen oldott meg 7 3rd down-os kísérletet az első 8 próbálkozásból és 14/9-es mérleggel zárt ebben a kategóriában. Az NDSU 39 meccs óta mindig nyert, ha volt extra hete pihenni, ez a 2005 óta íródó sorozat is megszakadt vasárnap.
