Chargers ILB Donald Butler has begun "limited on-field work" six months after surgery to repair a torn Achilles' tendon.
Butler was drafted to replace Kevin Burnett or Stephen Cooper, both of whom will reach free agency this offseason. It's promising that Butler has yet to encounter a setback, but players coming off torn Achilles' often struggle to regain pre-injury form. He can't be counted on for a major role in 2011.

Egyedül Butlernek van szerződése. Sztem még Burnett és Siler kapni fognak amúgy, de ha nem is 2-3. körben, hátrébb is benne van. Siler is 7. körös volt anno, vmi hasonló sleepert kéne fogni. De James Holt is IR-en volt pl.

Chargers signed FB Frank Summers to a reserve-future contract.
The Steelers surprisingly allowed their seven-day negotiating window to come and go without bringing Summers back. The Chargers have had success with tweener backs like Summers, who are strong runners though not natural lead blockers. With Mike Tolbert and Jacob Hester already on the roster, though, Summers is facing an uphill battle.

Egyetértek, Gates meg fantasztikus volt (megint) a szezon során egészen addig amíg le nem sérült és ki nem kellett hagynia érdemben a hátra lévő meccseket. 😊

The All-Pro team was named today and the San Diego Chargers had 2 players selected onto the second-team. Eric Weddle and Antonio Gates were both selected as second-team All-Pros.

Weddle megérdemelte, végre kezdik elismerni. Run supportban zseniális, annak ellenére, hogy általában nagyon messze játszik a LOS-tól, már csak el kéne kapnia azokat a labdákat, amiket a kezébe dobnak és akkor még több jogos hype-ot kapna.

Rapid Reports exclusive: The Spanos family is no longer actively seeking a buyer for Alex Spanos’ 35 percent minority share of the team, according to Mark Fabiani, who is special counsel to Chargers’ president Dean Spanos. The decision not to seek a buyer at this time is in large part due to the two-year extension of the Bush tax cuts.

Tehát egy esetleges költözés csak akkor lehetséges, ha Dean Spanos úgy dönt.

Richard Goodman a PS-en elég jó KR/ST-er. Illetve sztem Brinkley-t vagy McNeal-t - inkább előbbit - feltápoljuk PS-ről. De hát addig még sok minden lesz, elsősorban reméljük, hogy új CBA 😀

"This will be a chance to get a real sense of my value," Sproles said. "That's what I'm looking forward to the most. All the trips and meeting and dinners, are just part of the process, but I wouldn't say I'm looking forward to all that. I haven't been recruited since I was in high school, so it'll be interesting to see how it goes."

Sproles will long be remembered for his 328 all-purpose yards in subbing for an injured LaDainian Tomlinson in that 2008 playoff win over the Colts. Sproles is open to returning. "I definitely would," Sproles said. "I love the city and I love the guys in this locker room. This is the only team I've ever known. I'd like to keep it that way."
