Former New York Jets QB Mark Sanchez is reportedly being accused of being under the influence of several illegal substances at the time of his bizarre incident in Indianapolis, where he ended up getting stabbed.

The victim's attorneys have reportedly claimed in court that they have reason to believe Sanchez was under the influence of substances "including but not limited to cocaine, marijuana, fentanyl, and alcohol."

Sanchez allegedly attacked a 69-year-old truck driver in the middle of the night in October 2025 and is now facing a civil lawsuit and felony charges after being stabbed during the confrontation.

Includes $20.5M fully gtd. Was due to make a non-guaranteed $15.6M (2026) before the trade. So the #Jets guaranteed his '26 salary and sweetened it with another $4.9M gtd. Essentially, it's a 2-yr/$27M contract.

His total APY ($13.3M) is T-13th among safeties, per Roster Management System. Fitzpatrick is entering his age-30 season. Only two others in the group are age-30 or older -- Derwin James and Budda Baker.

The deal includes void years, so his cap charge is lowered to $7.4M from $15.6M
