A breakdown of Minkah Fitzpatrick's restructured contract (3 yrs/$40M):

Includes $20.5M fully gtd. Was due to make a non-guaranteed $15.6M (2026) before the trade. So the #Jets guaranteed his '26 salary and sweetened it with another $4.9M gtd. Essentially, it's a 2-yr/$27M contract.

His total APY ($13.3M) is T-13th among safeties, per Roster Management System. Fitzpatrick is entering his age-30 season. Only two others in the group are age-30 or older -- Derwin James and Budda Baker.

The deal includes void years, so his cap charge is lowered to $7.4M from $15.6M

The Jets are re-signing RB/RS Kene Nwangwu on a one-year, $2 million deal, per source. He gets $1 million guaranteed and can earn up to $3M with incentives.

Összességében elégedett vagyok, kevés tényleges needdel megyünk a draftra, nyilván upgrade sok helyen lehet, de tényleges need a WR2 és az EDGE1 jelenleg. 2. pickkel el kell hozni az EDGE-t utána egy WR 16-on vagy 33-on és a másik kettő pickből meg szerintem legjobb elérhető G, S, LB lenne a legjobb.
