If the former South Carolina star's name isn't on the first card commissioner Roger Goodell reads, landing with the Jacksonville Jaguars with the No. 3 overall pick would be just fine with him.

Bradley, who has a defensive background as a coach, could use an elite pass rusher to rebuild the Jaguars' defense.

"He has to be on me hard, then, because he knows that's what I'm about," Clowney said.

The Jaguars signed Doss, a fourth-round selection by Baltimore in the 2011 NFL Draft, as an unrestricted free agent Tuesday. He spent the past three seasons with the Ravens and led the NFL in punt return average last season. Caldwell said Doss will have a chance to compete with second-year wide receiver Ace Sanders for the punt return role. “Not only that, he’s very good on coverage team – kickoff team, punt cover team,” Caldwell said. “He’s not just a return guy. He’s a core four (special teams) guy, too. On game day if you can have a receiver be a core four guy and be a receiver, too – and have punt return skills – that helps you a lot.”

At right guard, the Jaguars have Jacques McClendon, who finished last year as the starter, and he’ll work there. Mike Brewster will see time at center, and Caldwell also mentioned Patrick Lewis as a part of the center mix. But look for the Jaguars to address the interior line in the draft.

Az Atlanta leginkább a Ramsel szemezget, hogy megszerezze Clowneyt. És a Rams a hírek szerint megint igen aktívan kínálgatja is azt a bizonyos 2. picket (majdnem biztos, hogy megint lesz tradepartnerük).

És eddig 2szer fordult elő, hogy 11 pickje legyen a Jaguarsnak. Íme a pickek.

A 2000es draftból Meester mellett talán Rob Meier tűnik ki, aki sokáig jó kis csere Dtvolt. R. Jay Soward 1 szezont játszott a jagsben, szép nagy 1. körös bust volt.

A 2007es már jobb draftnak tűnik, bár Reggie Nelson nálunk a rookie szezonját leszámítva nem volt túl jó (mert az edzői sem voltak azok). Durant még a ligában van, Podlesh, és Uche most kirakott FAk. Landri szintén az, őt máig nem értem anno miért rakta ki Gene Smith 2009ben, jó kis csere DTvolt(legrosszabb esetben, legjobban meg kezdőként is be volt vethető). Mike Sims-Walker meg azóta már CFLbe se kell. A többiek közül Brussardnak volt az első meccsén egy 47 yardos TDje, és ennyi is volt az NFL karrier neki, a többieknek még ennyire se futotta.

Eléggé átlagos (sőt átlag alatti) draftok voltak, szóval Caldwellnek elméletben nem lehetne nehéz mindkettőt jóval túlszárnyalni. remélem sikerül is majd neki.

Ace Sanders could be in line for regular No. 3 receiver duty and the coaches may think taking punt returns off his plate would be beneficial. The Jaguars finished last in 2013 in punt returns.

3. It will be surprising if the Jaguars take a quarterback with the third pick.

13. One possible Jaguars Trade Down Scenario — they slide into the Nos. 8-10 range and take Texas A&M receiver Mike Evans.
14. There is a lot more buzz recently about Florida State defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan (mid-first round) than former Raines High and Notre Dame DT Louis Nix (now late first round).
15. Nix’s knee injury that limited him to eight games as a junior could be giving teams pause.
16. Florida State receiver Kelvin Benjamin weighing in at 240 pounds at the Combine and running a 4.61 40-yard dash has impacted his stock. Some projections have him as falling out of the first round.
17. The one word that came to mind watching Benjamin in person against Auburn was “lumbering.” It took him a while to get out of his breaks and get open.
18. If LSU’s Odell Beckham is there for the Jaguars at No. 39, they should take him. Alas, he probably won’t be available.
19. Unless they have something big up their collective sleeve, the Jaguars are waiting until the draft to address center.
20. Colorado State’s Weston Richburg is the top-rated center and should be available at the top of the third round.
21. Arkansas’ Travis Swanson is intriguing. He played for the Jaguars’ coaches at the Senior Bowl.
22. Swanson started all 50 games of his Razorbacks career and has the bulk (312 pounds) to play right away.
23. If Chad Henne starts the year at quarterback, the Jaguars could go with a rookie center.
24. How about a rookie right guard? Alabama’s Anthony Steen started three years at that spot. He’s recovering from a labrum injury that ended his senior year early.
25. South Carolina quarterback Connor Shaw’s comments last week that he’s talked to the Jaguars led to speculation of them drafting two passers. Shaw would be a Day 3 pick.
26. A sixth-round pick for Blaine Gabbert. Still worth a “wow,” isn’t it?
27. The free agent linebacker group was woeful, but the Jaguars felt they signed a coming-on player in Tampa Bay’s Dekoda Watson. But they’ll look at this spot in the draft.
28. For some reason, UCLA linebacker Anthony Barr hasn’t received a lot of attention this month.
29. The only Combine difference between Barr and Mack was on the bench. Mack did 23 reps compared to 15 for Barr.
30. Barr won’t get out of the top 10.
31. When the Jaguars will be looking for post-first round linebacker help, a few names to mention: Montana’s Jordan Tripp, Alabama’s Adrian Hubbard, Florida State’s Telvin Smith and Florida’s Ronald Powell.
32. Tripp was a tackling machine for the Grizzlies — 329 in 53 games.
33. Hubbard ran a 4.69 40 at the Combine and is 6-foot-6 and 257 pounds. Could he transition from 3-4 OLB to a Leo for the Jaguars?
34. Smith led the national champion Seminoles with 90 tackles and also had three interceptions.
35. Powell missed all of 2012 with an ACL injury but had 11 sacks in 36 games for the Gators.
36. Once the top 10 picks are settled, the real intrigue will begin.
37. The new rookie wage scale allows teams to slide up a few picks without costing much money.
38. Last year, 11 first-round picks changed hands.
39. A reason why teams trade up is because of skill players in general and quarterbacks in particular.
40. Will a team drafting late in the second feel they must get into the Nos. 25-32 range to take Alabama’s A.J. McCarron? All it takes is one team.
41. But moving into the back end of the first round is costly. Last year, Minnesota traded four picks to New England to draft Tennessee wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson.
42. There could be a run on receivers in the mid-to-late stage of the first round if teams figure they can’t gamble to see how far the likes of Beckham, USC’s Marqise Lee and Oregon State’s Brandin Cooks fall.
43. If running the Cleveland draft, I would wait to take a quarterback until No. 26 (the pick it received for Trent Richardson).
44. That way, the Browns can start the year with Brian Hoyer while getting Fresno State’s Derek Carr ready.
45. At No. 39, LSU’s Zach Mettenberger remains the best quarterback option for the Jaguars.
46. Who cares if Mettenberger is a statue in the pocket? He’ll learn how to slide around. Who cares if he was surrounded by elite talent? He got them the football.
47. The Jaguars’ offense wants to be a solid running game that sets up play action and the downfield shot.
48. Mettenberger can sling it downfield.
49. And he had the best quote at the Combine: “Last time I checked, you still need to throw the football in this league and that’s what I can do.”
50. The ideal Jaguars draft scenario: Watkins (round 1), Mettenberger (round 2) and Swanson (round 3). Free agency was about improving the defense; the draft should be about bettering the offense.

Kíváncsi vagyok ez a Mettenberger imádat a front officunkból jön, vagy csak Hallorentől? Én továbbra is Garropolot preferálnám hozzá képest a 2. körös QB prospectek közül.

Szóval ha De La Puente vagy mondjuk Will Montgomery nem ide fog aláírni, az már egy jel az 1. körre nézve. Továbbá egy jel, hogy a 3. körben center draft várható.
Láthatóan a pass rusher mellett az LB poszt ahová Halloren vár egy picket. Mondjuk én draftolnék egy FSt és csere DTt is a védelembe.

Szerintem ez csak a szmók. A top4/5 draftoló elég nagy csereértéket bukna,ha nem félnének a mögöttük levők,hogy elviszik a kiszemeltet. Ergo,ha kiderül,hogy kit visznek, egy trade lehetőségének esélye erősen csökken, szóval a legjobb taktika,ha a nagy prospecteket vizitelik.

Tudom ezért is vicces, hogy a Jags streamelni fogja a Louisville mellett a UCF és a Texas A & M Pro Dayét (meg a South Carolináét) a 3 QB miatt, aztán viszünk egy OLB ta Buffaloról(esetleg egy WRt a Clemsonról) 1/3n. 😀😀
Lehet, hogy Oesheréknek inkább az Eastern Illinois Pro Dayére kellene menniük, ha a következő Jags QBre kíváncsiak(vagy Shadrick ama materére, az Alabamára, McCarron miatt).
