“Just learning a day at a time, learning the system, helping the defense get better,” Abram said, via Ed Graney of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, who also noted Abram’s tone with the media was more subdued than it’s been in the past. “I don’t think about things like the [fifth-year option]. In our conversation, he says it’s time for the top picks who have disappointed so far, such as disappointing first-rounders Clelin Ferrell, Johnathan Abram and Damon Arnette, to play like their pedigrees. Ferrell, in particular, has been just a guy in his two seasons (6.5 sacks, little impact, in 26 games) despite being Mayock/Gruden’s first pick in 2019, fourth overall. “We need more production out of that group,” he says. “But we’ve been able to have an off-season this year, and we’ve had great attendance in the building.”

Now, for instance, Bradley hopes by putting the reckless safety Abram as a box linebacker he’ll limit his options and make sure he focuses on a limited assignment.

Nem tudom, hogy ez csak építsük a mostani egységet duma vagy tényleg volt gond Gabe és Rodney hozzáállásával is tavaly...Hudson kapcsán nem igen tudom elképzelni és Gabe esetén is meglepő lenne nekem...



At #Raiders practice, Ruggs and Arnette look significantly bigger and stronger. They got the message. Edwards looks smooth. Carr has serious weapons.
Arnette has put some work in. Definitely got the message. Hayward is going to be tough to keep off the field though.
Henry Ruggs III said he gained about 13 pounds this offseason. He made it a goal to get stronger in order to become a more physical player, both in the passing and running game.

Ruggs és Arnette úgy fest meghallották és komolyan vették a stáb kérését. Nagyobbak és erősebbek lettek és dolgoznak rendesen. Ettől még ugye Arnette nagyot kell domborítson, mert Hayward nem padozni jött azért és úgy fest, hogy a NCB posztra is van életképes verseny Lawin és Hobbs kapcsán.




This training camp, Ferrell might have a hard time winning a lot of playing time, let alone a starting role. There are pass rushers Yannick Ngakoue and Maxx Crosby on the outside, and if the Raiders want a stronger run-defense presence, they might go with newcomer Solomon Thomas on one of the ends. (Yes, for all the talk of Thomas playing inside at three-technique, the Raiders are starting to think he may be too small for that role after all.)
After beefing up last year, the 6-foot-4 Ferrell is down from 275 pounds to 268 this summer.

Ferrell helyzete nem annyira rózsás, de hát nem is tett semmit le az asztalra eddig, ami miatt járna neki a free pass. Ahogy sejthető volt Crosby és Yannick sok PT-t fog elvinni DE poszton és ott van még Koonce és Carl is ugyebár! Az mondjuk nekem nem tetszik igazán, hogy Solomon Thomas kapcsán lehet visszatáncolnak a full time 3T szerepről, de meglátjuk abból is mi lesz, ha megy futás ellen a szélre az se kedvez Ferrellnek. Ordas bust eddig a srác sajna...
