--- Robinson was very successful early on as a general manager. He helped break their playoff drought in 2017. His potential career-defining move came in 2019 when he traded for quarterback Ryan Tannehill, the former Dolphins starter. The Titans found a hunk of success under him, with multiple playoff appearances and successful draft picks.
Most notably, Jon Robinson drafted All-Pros in safety Kevin Byard, receiver AJ Brown, and running back Derrick Henry.
He also selected quarterback Malik Willis in his final draft as the Titans’ general manager. The quarterback is highly rumoured to come play for the Dolphins, as most of the integral parts of the Green Bay Packers staff are now in Miami.
With all the good comes some bad. This is true for every professional general manager. Robinson is infamous for trading All-Pro receiver AJ Brown rather than reaching a new contract agreement. It wouldn’t have been as bad if the team then drafted a player of similar caliber (a difficult feat), but Robinson oversaw the pick, selecting receiver Treylon Burks from Arkansas.
He did not pan out in Tennessee, recording only 53 receptions in his 3 years as a Titan. Jon Robinson also selected Isaiah Wilson in the first round of the 2020 draft. Wilson went off the rails early on, not taking football seriously enough and attempting to become a rapper after being traded and subsequently released by the Miami Dolphins.
Though Robinson is not the Dolphins’ general manager, he will have a large array of responsibilities, mainly the draft class and the free agents added to the roster next month. He will not be the final decision maker. His time as a general manager may be remembered for his errors, but he did a lot of good for a very lackluster franchise. ---

öröm hallani eme stratégiát. megbolondult grier feltradelt volna valami túlhajpolt középszerű játékosért.--- Jon-Eric Sullivan likes to collect draft picks. In the eyes of the Dolphins’ new general manager, draft picks are precious, like a vintage wine or a family heirloom.
...
During a recent session with Dolphins season-ticket holders, Sullivan revealed what will be one of the hallmarks of at least the early stages of this Dolphins rebuild. “It’s my job to try to turn these eight [draft] picks into 11 or 12 as we move forward, so we can get good value and get more swings in the bat,” he said. “It always gives you a better chance to be successful when you have strength and numbers, so to speak.”
...
The Dolphins currently own one pick in the first round (11th), one in the second (43rd), three in the third (75, 87 and 90), one in the fourth (111), one in the fifth (149) and one in the seventh (227). The sixth-round pick was dealt to the Giants last June in exchange for tight end Darren Waller, an impending free agent.
...
Cap update
If the Dolphins opt to designate Bradley Chubb as a post-June 1 cut, Miami — at the moment — would have less than $4 million in current cap space.
So several more moves are needed to give Sullivan enough room for the Dolphins to be functional in free agency.
The most obvious remaining ways to create space:
▪ Trading or cutting safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, who is being shopped, according to Jordan Schultz: His current contract calls for a $15.8 million salary and an $18.9 million cap hit in 2026. His 2026 Dolphins dead money cap hit drops to $12.9 million if he’s cut or traded before June 1 and just $3.2 million after June 1, but with the difference on Miami’s books in 2027.
▪ Trading or cutting Austin Jackson: The veteran right tackle is due $9.9 million next season (none of that is guaranteed) with a $15.8 million cap hit. If the Dolphins decide to part ways, his cap hit would be $13.8 million if the Dolphins release or trade him before June 1, but just $4.3 million after June 1 (with a $9.5 million hit in 2027).
▪ Trading or cutting kicker Jason Sanders: He’s under contract next season at $3.7 million; none of that money is guaranteed. He has a $4.6 million cap hit if he’s on the team. If he’s cut before June 1, his dead money 2026 Dolphins cap hit would be $663,000.
▪ Releasing fullback Alec Ingold: None of his $3.6 million salary is guaranteed next season, and his 2026 Dolphins cap hit would drop from $5.1 million to $1.9 million if he’s released.
▪ Releasing linebacker Tyrel Dodson: Dodson is due $2.4 million, none guaranteed, next season. The 2026 cap hit for Dodson would drop from $3.7 million to $717,500 with a pre-June 1 cut. ▪ Releasing cornerback Julius Brents: None of his $1.8 million salary next season is guaranteed, and his $1.8 million 2026 cap hit disappears entirely (with no dead money) by cutting him.
▪ Restructuring contracts of defensive lineman Zach Sieler and linebacker Jordyn Brooks, among others.
Keep in mind that only two players can be designated as post-June 1 cuts. ---

Tavesz baktalo, bradley chubb. 💥NFL Insider Jordan Schultz is reporting the Dolphins will be releasing edge rusher Bradley Chubb.
Chubb will turn 30 in June, and his contract is about to skyrocket. As they enter this rebuild, the Dolphins will look to get younger and cheaper at the position.
After missing the entire 2024 season with a torn ACL, he started all 17 games for Miami in 2025 and was their best pass rusher.
He had 8.5 sacks and 20 quarterback hits this past season.
The Dolphins had a chance to trade Bradley Chubb at the trade deadline this past season and didn’t pull the trigger, which is a decision ownership probably regret at this time, as it would have brought in more draft capital.
Chubb had a $31.2 million cap number in 2026, so it makes financial sense to move on from him at this time.
If this is a pre-June 1st release, Miami will eat $23 million of dead cap, and open up $7.3 million in cap space.
If this ends up being a post-June 1st release, Miami will eat $10 million of dead cap but open up $23 million in cap space.

Slowik (OC) enters his second season with the Dolphins and has been promoted to offensive coordinator. He was the team's senior pass game coordinator in 2025. Slowik has 12 years of NFL coaching experience. Prior to joining the Dolphins, Slowik served as offensive coordinator with Houston for two seasons (2023-24), where he helped the Texans reach the Divisional Round of the postseason in back-to-back years for only the second time in franchise history. In his first season as Houston's offensive coordinator, Slowik directed an offense that ranked in the top half of the league in total offense (342.4 yards per game), while finishing seventh in passing yards per game (245.5). That year, Slowik oversaw the development of the rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud and helped him compose a historic rookie season, leading the NFL in pass yards per game (273.9) and being named the 2023 PFWA Offensive Rookie of the Year. Slowik spent six seasons in San Francisco, where he served as passing game coordinator (2022), passing game specialist (2021), offensive assistant (2019-20) and defensive quality control (2017-18). During his time in San Francisco, the 49ers made three playoff appearances (2019, 2021, 2022), winning the NFC Championship Game in 2019 and advancing to Super Bowl LIV. Slowik started his coaching career as a defensive assistant in Washington (2011-13).
Duggan** (DC) joins the Dolphins as defensive coordinator, bringing more than 10 years of coaching experience to Miami. He spent the previous two seasons with Green Bay (2024-25), serving as a defensive assistant in 2024 and linebackers coach in 2025. During that span, the Packers ranked ninth in both total defense (313.2 yards per game) and run defense (108.5 rushing yards per game), and sixth in yards allowed per carry (4.1). Duggan coached linebackers at Boston College for four seasons (2020-23), while also serving as co-defensive coordinator in 2023. He was a graduate assistant at Ohio State (2019) and coached the linebackers at Hawai'i (2016-17) and Massachusetts (2017-18). He started his coaching career at Boston College as a defensive graduate assistant in 2015.
Yenser (OL) joins the Dolphins as offensive line coach. He has 19 years of coaching experience across the NFL, collegiate and high school levels. He served as an assistant offensive line coach with Houston (2024-25) and San Francisco (2019-21), helping four players combine for five Pro Bowl selections: T Laremy Tunsil (2024), T Trent Williams (2020-21), C Alex Mack (2021) and G Laken Tomlinson (2021). Yenser coached the offensive line at various collegiate programs, including Kentucky (2022-23), Kansas (2015-17), California (2013-14) and Louisiana Tech (2010-12). He also served as run game coordinator during this time with the Jayhawks.
