It seems like the Cowboys panicked with all of the guards flying off the board, which is the worst thing you can ever do in the NFL Draft. It's never been more obvious that Dallas needs a real general manager.

És nagyon kösz mindent Brad!

Kerry Taylornak örülök, megérdemelte a TDt.

Henne meg úgy passzolt 331 yardot, hogy esélyünk nem volt a meccsen. Kábé ez a karrierje. Viszont Garrard 2009es szezonja óta őaz első Jags Qb, aki 3000 passzolt yard felé jutott.

Kiváncsi vagyok MJDnek javultak-e a pozíciói ezzel a meccsel. Remekül kapott el, de elég nem ment neki ma a futás.

Babin 7.5 zsákkal lett sackleader idén nálunk. Ez Mincey 8 sackes, 2011es idénye óta a legtöbb.

Poz 161 tacklel fejezte be az idényt, ezzel sanszosan 2. lesz az NFLben idén.

QUARTERBACK

Under contract: Blaine Gabbert and Ricky Stanzi (one more year apiece).

Free agents: Chad Henne.

Analysis: As soon as Caldwell and Bradley came to town, they knew the Jaguars needed a franchise quarterback. But with the draft thin, they decided to give Gabbert a shot … and another shot and another shot before finally sticking with Henne at midseason. Henne has been, well, Henne-like (12 touchdowns and 13 interceptions) and he has the respect of the locker room. But it will be a tough sell around town if the Jaguars don’t go quarterback in either of the first two rounds of the 2014 Draft.

Prediction: The Jaguars re-sign Henne to a two-year contract with the understanding he will mentor the newbie and possibly keep the seat warm for him. They attempt to trade Gabbert for a sixth- or seventh-round pick(sok szerencsét ehhez....Ik.) and cut him if they can’t find a partner.

RUNNING BACK

Under contract: Denard Robinson (three more years) and Justin Forsett and Delone Carter (one more year apiece).

Free agents: Maurice Jones-Drew, Jordan Todman (restricted), Will Ta’ufo’ou (exclusive rights).

Analysis: The Jaguars’ running game never got out of the blocks because they always fell behind in the first half of the year and Jones-Drew’s ankle injury in Week 2 lingered for the next six weeks. They enter Sunday averaging a woeful 3.4 yards per carry and have only seven touchdowns. Jones-Drew has been better of late and Todman has shown some flashes. Robinson has been a disappointment because he can’t find a role.

Prediction: Jones-Drew is the most recognizable Jaguars free agent. But he’s not a franchise back anymore. If he and the team find a common ground, a two-year contract could be in the offing so he can finish his career here.

OFFENSIVE LINE

Under contract: Luke Joeckel (three years), Uche Nwaneri (two years) and Will Rackley, Mike Brewster, Sam Young, Patrick Lewis, Drew Nowak and Jacques McClendon (one more year apiece).

Free agents: Brad Meester (retiring), Cam Bradfield (restricted) and Austin Pasztor (exclusive rights).

Analysis: Similar to 2012, the line underwent massive in-season changes due to injuries and performance. The Week 1 combination — Eugene Monroe-Rackley-Meester-Nwaneri-Joeckel. The Week 17 combination — Bradfield-McClendon-Meester-Nwaneri-Pasztor. The Jaguars’ statistics are bad across-the-board (31st in yards, last in points and 47 sacks allowed).

Prediction: The Jaguars enter camp with Joeckel at left tackle, Nwaneri at right guard and Pasztor at right tackle, sign a left guard in free agency and use two picks to build depth. A sleeper candidate at center to replace Meester is McClendon.(Hm...)

RECEIVER

Under contract: Ace Sanders (three more years), Justin Blackmon (two more years) and Cecil Shorts, Kerry Taylor, Jeremy Ebert, Stephen Burton and Stephen Williams (one more year apiece).

Free agents: Mike Brown (exclusive rights).

Analysis: There are a ton of issues at this position, chiefly the need for a No. 1. Shorts had groin surgery last week and there is concern about his durability. Blackmon is serving his second suspension for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy. That leaves little. Sanders showed pop late in the year but is a third or fourth, trickery-type option. Brown would provide decent depth on a good team.

Prediction: Marquise Lee or Sammy Watkins in the first round, anybody? Of course, they have to declare for the draft. Blackmon gets reinstated and plays for the Jaguars in 2014 and the addition of him plus a high draft pick gives the offense a jolt. Analysis: One of the Jaguars’ big ifs was how much Lewis could have impacted the offense if healthy early on. He played only two snaps in the first six games because of a creaky left calf. A top-end blocker in the run game, Lewis enters Sunday with touchdown catches in four consecutive games.

Prediction: Lewis returns and the Jaguars go searching for his backups.

DEFENSIVE LINE

Under contract: Sen’Derrick Marks (four more years), two years for Andre Branch, Jason Babin, Abry Jones and Gerald Rivers and one year for Tyson Alualu, Roy Miller, Ryan Davis and Jordan Miller.

Free agents: Brandon Deaderick and Kyle Love.

Analysis: Not enough of a pass rush and not enough stoutness against the run. The Jaguars’ 30 sacks are tied for the third fewest in the league and their 130.7 rushing yards allowed per game are the second most. Marks has emerged as a building block and Branch (six sacks) has played like he’s seen the light the second half of the season. Alualu has played better in the second half as a defensive end.

Prediction: Marks, who it was thought would be back on a three-year deal, was locked up on a four-year deal Friday. The Jaguars move on from Babin and sign a semi-expensive pass rusher and a big interior body in free agency to bolster the tackle depth. How does a starting four of Alualu, Marks, Roy Miller and (current Seattle pass rusher) Michael Bennett sound?(nem rossz, de pl. Khalil Mack még jobb lenne.)

LINEBACKER

Under contract: Paul Posluszny (three more years), John Lotulelei and LaRoy Reynolds (two more years apiece) and Russell Allen, Geno Hayes, J.T. Thomas and Nate Stupar (one more year apiece).

Free agents: None.

Analysis: Posluszny has been his usual steady self (team-high 152 tackles) and the Jaguars would probably admit they got more out of Allen and Hayes as starters before they ended the year on injured reserve.

Prediction: Posluszny will be back at his posted salary cap number ($8.5 million) because the coaching staff trusts him completely. But is there another legitimate starter from the rest of the group? The Jaguars will have at least one new starting outside linebacker.

DEFENSIVE BACK

Under contract: Johnathan Cyprien, Dwayne Gratz, Josh Evans, Demetrius McCray and Jeremy Harris (three more years apiece), Mike Harris, Winston Guy and Jamell Fleming (two more years apiece) and Alan Ball and Chris Prosinski (one more year apiece).

Free agents: Will Blackmon.

Analysis: The Jaguars emphasized this group in the draft, using five picks, and there have been the usual ups and downs. The Jaguars have allowed 28 touchdown passes and the secondary has only six interceptions. They have some players in place.

Prediction: This will be interesting to monitor. One source said the Jaguars will definitely draft a cornerback at some point (although not early) and they should be on the look-out for a free safety in free agency.(Helyesen teszik Ik.) Blackmon re-signs to provide leadership and depth.

SPECIAL TEAMS

Under contract: Two more years for kicker Josh Scobee, punter Bryan Anger and long snapper Carson Tinker.

Free agent: None.

Analysis: The Jaguars’ coverage teams have been in the top 10 for the last two months and the kick return team is third. Sanders has never got going on punt returns (the Jaguars are last). Scobee is 22-of-24 on field goals and Anger has 31 punts inside the 20-yard line so there’s no reason to break that tandem up.

Prediction: All three return in their current roles.
