Breakdown: Beckner's recruitment is going to really start heating up now that the season is over. The five-star has already taken a visit to Florida State and said the Seminoles currently have the advantage. He mention really liking FSU at the Under Armour Game practices as well. That could change, however, once he takes his remaining visits to Ohio State and Missouri. Auburn and Oregon are currently fighting for a visit as well.


DE Byron Cowart
ESPN 300: No. 2

Prediction: Florida
Breakdown: The five-star defensive end said he has a top three of Auburn, Florida and Florida State and plans to visit after the dead period ends in January. Will Muschamp heading to Auburn helped the Tigers jump into the picture for the talented prospect, but at the end of the day, Cowart could end up at any one of these schools with the Gators having been high on his list for some time. He is unsure when he will make his final decision.


CB Iman Marshall
ESPN 300: No. 7

Prediction: USC
Breakdown: Marshall will make a signing day decision, and there is still plenty of intrigue surrounding the five-star cornerback. He also spoke highly at the Under Armour Game of Jim Harbaugh going to Michigan. Notre Dame received his first official visit and Florida State looks likely to get one in January. LSU, Michigan and either Oregon or Oklahomaare the three other schools he's talked about visiting, but there's no telling whether those trips will definitely be set. UCLA and USC look like they will be tough to beat in this race, but the out-of-state schools are giving him something to think about.


*CB Kendall Sheffield
ESPN 300: No. 8

Prediction: Texas A&M
Breakdown: Sheffield is set to announce at the Under Armour All-America Game Jan. 2, and Texas A&M continues to be the front-runner. The Aggies' lack of a defensive coordinator certainly paves the way for Alabama to pull the upset with USC being the sleeper team. This is a football and track decision, which helps the home-state Aggies. As long as secondary coach Terry Joseph remains on staff in College Station, that is big for the Aggies' chances.


DT Daylon Mack
ESPN 300: No. 15

Prediction: TCU
Breakdown: Mack decommitted from Texas A&M on Dec. 19, and the race might come down to three schools -- LSU, TCU and Texas, with Texas A&M hoping to make another run after hiring a new defensive coordinator. Mack has LSU and TCU at the top of his list with the Tigers and Longhorns scheduled to receive official visits Jan. 16 and 23, respectively. Mack is likely to announce on national signing day.

ESPN 300: No. 17

Prediction: Virginia Tech
Breakdown: Settle remains a recruitment that could go a number of different directions. Virginia Tech could win out with an announcement scheduled at the Under Armour All-America Game, but competition is coming from Louisville, USC, Oklahoma State and Washington State.

ESPN 300: No. 25

Prediction: LSU
Breakdown: Texas Tech, Oklahoma State and LSU are his top three. He doesn't give away much, but did say that distance could give the Tigers the advantage.


OLB Roquan Smith
ESPN 300: No. 27

Prediction: Georgia
Breakdown: The Georgia Bulldogs appear to be the clear leader for the four-star outside linebacker. Smith still has official visits set up for UCLA, LSU and Ole Miss in January, but at this point, he is Georgia's to lose. Smith will make his final decision on national signing day.


RB Soso Jamabo
ESPN 300: No. 28

Prediction: UCLA
Breakdown: Jamabo has made official visits to UCLA and Notre Dame thus far with the Bruins the current favorite. At the Under Armour Game he said he was close to a decision and had some good stuff to say about the Irish. With that said, the possibility of January official visits to Texas, Baylor and possibly Texas A&M will make it a tough close for UCLA. Jamabo prefers that he stay closer to home.


RB Damien Harris
ESPN 300: No. 31

Prediction: Alabama
Breakdown: This recruitment has gone up and down and in different directions. The one-time Michigan commit looked to be headed to Ohio State and then potentially to Kentucky. Alabama has now gotten in the picture heavily and could end up being the landing spot for the big-time running back.


OLB Jeffery Holland
ESPN 300: No. 40

Prediction: Florida
Breakdown: Even though he stated at the Under Armour Game that Auburn was his current leader, there is still a month left before signing day and this still feels like a battle the Gators win. Florida is also expected to hire Randy Shannon as defensive coordinator and that will only help.


OG Jalin Barnett
ESPN 300: No. 43

Prediction: Oklahoma State
Breakdown: Barnett says his recruitment is down to a two team battle between Oklahoma State and Nebraska. The Cornhuskers have already received a visit, but Barnett has yet to see Oklahoma State. That last visit, if he takes it, could swing things in favor of Oklahoma State.


WR DaMarkus Lodge
ESPN 300: No. 47

Prediction: Ole Miss
Breakdown: The former Texas A&M commitment has made official visits to USC and LSU thus far with Ole Miss (Jan. 23) and Texas still to come, and Arizona State trying hard to get him to visit Tempe. With a recruitment that looks to be headed for a national signing day finish, the Trojans and Rebels are currently the teams to beat with the Longhorns playing the role of January spoiler.


*DT Daron Payne
ESPN 300: No. 50

Prediction: Alabama
Breakdown: Auburn and Mississippi State are still in the picture, and the Bulldogs could still get an official visit, but Alabama appears to be the clear favorite for the four-star defensive tackle. The Birmingham native has been a long-time Alabama lean, and nothing has appeared to change that. Payne is expected to make his decision at the Under Armour All-America Game.


*RB Ronald Jones II
ESPN 300: No. 56

Prediction: Notre Dame
Breakdown: Jones was the highest-ranked commit for Oklahoma State, but after decommitting from the Cowboys, it's down to Notre Dame and USC for the nation's No. 5 running back. The Fighting Irish are trending for the versatile playmaker with a Dec. 12 official visit standing out. Fighting Irish assistant Kerry Cooks has done a very good job with this recruitment.


WR Equanimeous St. Brown
ESPN 300: No. 60

Prediction: Notre Dame
Breakdown: Notre Dame made a strong impression on St. Brown with an early visit. Utah also received an official visit, USC continues to recruit him and Stanford dropped by for a recent in-home visit. But at this point it appears the Fighting Irish are the clear team to beat for St. Brown, who will announce his decision on signing day.


ILB John Houston Jr.
ESPN 300: No. 80

Prediction: USC
Breakdown: Houston will announce on signing day and recently released his top five schools, which included Arizona State, Miami, Oklahoma, Oregon and USC. He's already taken official visits to the first four and will see USC in January. A commitment to anywhere other than USC would be considered a surprise, but Oregon has done very well with the linebacker.


DT Christian Wilkins
ESPN 300: No. 81

Prediction: Penn State
Breakdown: Wilkins is a big defensive tackle prospect and would be a good complement to the other defensive linemen Penn State has in this class. The Nittany Lions have made the East Coast a priority, and Wilkins would be yet another big recruiting win for James Franklin and his staff if he chooses Penn State.

*ILB Anthony Wheeler
ESPN 300: No. 89

Prediction: Oklahoma
Breakdown: Wheeler has developed into a classic Red River battle between Oklahoma and Texas and talked openly at the Under Armour Game about both. The Sooners and Longhorns have put themselves in good position though Texas' dismissal of assistant Bruce Chambers could ultimately swing things in OU's favor.. It will be interesting to see whether Texas A&M makes a run at Wheeler after losing out on Malik Jefferson.


OG Kendrick Norton
ESPN 300: No. 99

Prediction: Miami
Breakdown: The former FSU commit has plans to officially visit Ole Miss and Miami in January. Florida is hanging around, but it appears that the Hurricanes have taken the lead. Ole Miss is also a serious contender for the four-star lineman.


TE Chris Clark
ESPN 300: No. 111

Prediction: Michigan
Breakdown: This one might seem odd, but Clark has said he is still considering Michigan. He said at Under Armour that he has a top three Michigan, Michigan State and UCLA with the Wolverines and Bruins out front. Jim Harbaugh's hire looks like it could lead to Clark re-committing to the Wolverines.


WR Cordell Broadus
ESPN 300: No. 134

Prediction: UCLA
Breakdown: It's a Pac-12-heavy list for Broadus, as Arizona, Arizona State, LSU, Oregon State and UCLA remain in contention. He's taken an official visit to see the Sun Devils and is very familiar with UCLA, the strong leader at this point. Broadus will announce his decision on signing day.


CB Marcus Lewis
ESPN 300: No. 154

Prediction: Kentucky
Breakdown: Lewis recently named Kentucky, Miami and Washington State as his top three schools. That is a wide variety of schools to make up such a short list, but the Wildcats have done a lot to help themselves in this battle.

OG Joshua Wariboko
ESPN 300: No. 174

Prediction: UCLA
Breakdown: Wariboko has been toying with making a decision for weeks now, but heading into the UA Game, it appears to be a two-team race between Oklahoma, the school he committed to early on in the process, and UCLA, the school that has come on strong over the past few months. His decision will ultimately come down to whether or not Wariboko wants to leave home.


LS Jordan Butler
ESPN 300: NR

Prediction: Minnesota
Breakdown: Butler is still awaiting his first FBS offer, but a number of schools have spoken to him about becoming a preferred walk-on and earning a scholarship once on the roster. At this point, Minnesota has put in the most time with Butler and is recruiting him the hardest.

WR Brandon Martin
ESPN 300: NR

Prediction: Kansas
Breakdown: Martin has quickly emerged on the recruiting scene and is poised to have a breakout week at the UA Game. If he does what many project him to do, then more offers will surely flow in, but at this point, Kansas leads the way over offers from Arkansas State, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana Monroe and several other smaller schools.

RB Paul Lucas
ESPN 300: NR

Prediction: Arizona State
Breakdown: Lucas took an official visit to Oregon State before the coaching change took place, but this battle has always looked like Arizona State's to win. However, the Beavers could still make this interesting, especially considering the success Wisconsin running backs had under Gary Andersen.

K Louie Zervos
ESPN 300: NR

Prediction: East Carolina
Breakdown: The talented kicker has offers from only ECU and Purdue, with several other schools, including the home-state Florida Gators, still showing interest. Zervos has not set a date for when he would like to make a final decision.

HS LB Quart'e Sapp (No. 193 in the ESPN 300) is literally bathing in recruiting letters.
