Gardner ($30.1M) edges Derek Stingley ($30M) to be the highest-paid CB based on APY, but Gardner falls short of Stingley in terms of overall guarantees. Still a strong deal for Gardner. Also one that offers flexibility for the #Jets if something goes haywire and they need to escape after a couple of years.

It marks the first time in NFL history that a receiver has received an average over $31 million after playing only three seasons. Wilson now will be under contract the next six seasons, through 2030.
