#Dolphins GM Chris Grier confirms the team has decided to part ways with Jalen Ramsey via a trade. Says Ramsey did not request a trade but the decision was made in the “best interest of all parties.”

The #Dolphins and seven-time Pro Bowl CB Jalen Ramsey are mutually set to explore trade options and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he played elsewhere in 2025, per me and @TomPelissero.

Miami and Ramsey, due $25.1M fully guaranteed this season, could be parting ways.

The Dolphins are ripe for a chaos pick at 13th overall. Roster is lowkey old. Everyone hurt. Tyreek is losing it. Tua's contract has outs next year.

"According to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport (which was later confirmed by several national insiders), Dolphins left tackle Terron Armstead is retiring after 12 impressive NFL seasons, which included five Pro Bowls and a second-team All-Pro in 2018.

The 33-year-old left tackle was still playing at a very high level when healthy. However, the keywords are “when healthy”. In his three seasons in South Florida, he appeared in 38 games with the Dolphins. We’ve all heard the saying “the best ability is availability,” right? Unfortunately for Armstead, the older he got, the more unavailable he became.

For Miami, we’ll now officially see the passing of the torch between Armstead and Patrick Paul. The 23-year-old, second-round draft pick started three games for the Dolphins as a rookie in 2024. According to Pro Football Focus, Paul played 248 snaps at left tackle and 83 at right tackle. He was penalized five times and allowed 15 pressures and three sacks. And yet, based on everything I saw, the moment never appeared too big, outside his time at right tackle. He looked good. Sure, there will be a dropoff because he’s not Armstead, but there’s much to love about Paul. That said, there are still other ways the teams can fortify the offensive line and protect themselves from inevitable injuries."

Nagyon méltatta az új szerzeményt James Daniels-t, mert " nem azért adtunk neki ennyi pénzt, hogy ne legyen jó" ill. "az új szerzemények a piacról mindig bizonyítani akarnak és jók akarnak lenni" dumák mentek.

Gondolom mivel nagyon bíznak benne, azért adtak neki ilyen szerződést. Jövőre 0 (!) dead money-val kivágható, hiába 3 éves a szerződés. Idén megkapja a teljes garantáltat, utána meg bizonyíthat. De nagy valószínűség szerint pá-pá is lesz. Ugye neki Achilles szakadása volt tavaly, és csak 4 meccset játszott. De ezen a 4 meccsen 92.9-es PFF grade-je volt, ami akkor a 2. (!) legjobb volt az összes OG között a ligában. Ha így nézzük nem néz ki rosszul a dolog, de sajnos egy ilyen sérülésből nehéz és lassú felépülni. És általában utána már nem úgy muzsikál a pályán a játékos mint előtte. Bízzunk benne, hogy a jobbik oldala jön elő.

A másik delikvens Liam Eichenberg akit még mi draftoltunk 2021-ben a 2. körben. Ő is megkapta a kemény 1 éves szerződését 2,2 millióért (ami teljesen garantált). Egy kis motiváció, hogy bizonyítson, meg egy kis bíztatás, hogy csak 1 év. Mutatni kellene már valamit, amit McDaniel is elmondott a nyilatkozatában. Az benne a jó szerinte, hogy több helyen is bevethető a falban, de most már lejárt a türelmi idő, így már idén bizonyítani kellene. Csak egy példa: 53.1 PFF garde-je volt tavaly, ami az értékelt 135 db OG között a 106. helyre volt elég. Van hová fejlődni. A futásblokkolása is nagyon visszaesett.

Sajnos amíg ilyen gyenge (vagy közepes), sérült (vagy sérülékeny) játékosokkal vagyunk tele OL fronton, nincs miről beszélni, hogy Tua meddig fog játszani amerikai football-t.

A drafton nagyon-nagyot kellene robbantani, hogy ezt a támadófalat legalább értékelhető szintre hozzuk. Mert ezt egy év alatt nem tudjuk (régen sem nagyon sikerült) megoldani. Én tuti húznék 1. v. 2. körben OT-ét, de ahogy nézem ebből DT lesz 1. körben (sok helyen ezt írják). Az sem lenne rossz (mondjuk Grant), de megvárnám lecsúszik-e valaki hozzánk. Trade-elni szerintem 1. körben nem fogunk.

És akkor van még egy Austin Jackson (RT) szerződés módosítás. Az idei salary (9.7 millió) aláírási bónusszá lett alakítva, és kapott még 1 void évet a szerződésbe. Így meg lett takarítva 7.76 millió. Viszont így jövőre többet foglal a sapkában Jackson + 13 millió jövőre a dead money.

Így most a cap space 12.7 millió, ami nem túl sok, így még várható szerintem valakinek szerződés módosítás. Tua várakozik...

Ez csak a szokásos kirohanása. Persze ha megunja a vezetőség egy idő után, tényleg elgondolkoznak rajta, hogy mehet amerre lát.
Ezzel rögtön beindultak a találgatások hová is lehetne elpasszolni (Dallas, Denver, Las Vegas, LA Chargers).

Nincs itt látni való, maradni fog. Egy évet még biztos.
