Mayhew mondta akét tegnapi pickről:

Young:
"He's an explosive playmaker, he's a stick of dynamite. He's got speed, great hands and another guy we were really happy to see on the board at our turn to pick," Mayhew said of Young. "He'll have an opportunity to step in as our third guy. We haven't had great production from that spot the last couple of years. We think Titus is the kind of player who can solve that problem for us."


LeShoure:
Mayhew said LeShoure was the second-ranked running back on Detroit's draft board. "He was right there with (Mark) Ingram," Mayhew said. "We trust our grades. We had him graded very high. In fact, we talked about him at the time we drafted Titus."

"This a guy we had targeted at No. 44, and he was just on the board for way too long and we needed to make a move," Schwartz said. "We need two running backs and we got two. I think we've put some really significant pieces in place. I wouldn't want to be a defensive coordinator having to match up against a lot of those playmakers."

Amúgy a mérlegünk egy dolgon múlik,hogy Matty egészséges tud e maradni.
Jelenleg olyan fegyverek vannak a kezében,hogy hihetetlen.

A CJ/Burleson/Young WR trió sztem nagyon jó, mögöttük a Best/Leshoure RB duó pedig egyelőre a hihetetlen kategória nálam.
Sokan savazzák odakünn a tegnapi két picket,de egyszerűen betudom annak,hogy hülyék. Best sérülékeny,Morris nem megoldás hosszú távon,Smith és alighanem Brown cut.
Elkapóknál tavaly szinte csak CJ és Nate volt a pályán B.Johnson és D.Williams tragédia volt,Toone a reménységem,de ő megy csak PS player egyelőre.

Persze nem húztunk CB-t és LB-t,de alighanem nem volt olyan akit akartunk volna. LBknél hallani Tullochról és az atlantás Nicholasról vagy kiről.

The Lions caused nightmares for every NFC North quarterback last night when they selected Nick Fairley to team up with Ndamukong Suh at defensive tackle.

They followed up that excellent value selection by adding a scary threat at wide receiver and punt returner in Titus Young from Boise State.

Both Young and Fairley have the tools to start as rookies and make a huge impact.

The Lions' second pick in Round 2 is one we simply love.

Mikel Leshoure was our No. 1 running back, and we're shocked to find him on the board in Round 2. He will be a great compliment to Jahvid Best.


Grade: A+

Innentől kitüntetett figyelemmel követlek titeket 😊 Még egy LB, és ha jövőre Aaron Berry lesz a shutdown corneretek, nem fogok panaszkodni 😀

Három kurva jó pick eddig.
Ha ehhez jön egy normális FA akkor már megérte.
Kellene egy 5.körös LB steal még.

Mayhew jól draftol, ennyi 😊 Tudom, hogy szokatlan Millen után.

Jó a Leshour pick is.Egész faszás eddig.

13. Nick Fairley, DT, Auburn
All Matt Millen did was pick receivers. Now, all the Lions do is acquire high-priced defensive tackles.

I don't like this pick much. Fairley is a one-year wonder with work ethic issues. I don't like the idea of paying him a ton of money in a rookie signing bonus. Plus, passing up Prince Amukamara and Jimmy Smith is pretty questionable. (Pick Grade: C)

44. Titus Young, WR, Boise State
Titus Young is exactly what the Lions need on offense, outside of a left tackle. He's eventually going to draw some attention away from Calvin Johnson. In the meantime, he'll contribute right away on punt returns. I really like this pick. (Pick Grade: A)

57. Mikel Leshoure, RB, Illinois
Even though the Lions had to trade up to this spot, I love this pick. How did Mikel Leshoure fall this far? Leshoure provides great value at No. 57 and will fill a need as a big back complement for Jahvid Best. (Pick Grade: A)

Titans linebacker Stephen Tulloch, who is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent, has been watching the Lions' situation closely. He was tweeting last night about what a force the Lions' defensive line has become. (Many Lions fans tweeted him back that Tulloch would be a nice fit).

Azért Fairleynek sokkal könnyebb lesz a helyzete mint Suhnak. Suhnak azonnal bizonyítani kellett mint 1/2. Fairleynek azért lesz egy kis tanulóideje Williams mögött és ha az első éve nem lesz brutális akkor sincs világvége.
