kicsit magába is nézhetne szerintem...briareosSzerintem azért háborog, mert kevés lehetőséget kapott. Pedig, hát jobb mutatói vannak, mint Ronnie-nak. De lehet, h elfogult vagyok vele....

Dolphins | Bill Cowher unlikely to come if coach firedComment (0) Tweet! Share on Facebook
Hm....

The Miami Dolphins likely will not hire former NFL head coach Bill Cowher if they decide to fire current head coach Tony Sparano, a source told Jason La Canfora, of NFL Network. The Dolphins are leaning toward keeping general manager Jeff Ireland, which likely would not work well because Cowher would want to bring in his own personnel staff.

na itt van még egy adag: elég hosszú listaMiami Dolphins owner Steve Ross is about to make his FIRST major football decision since taking over as the team’s majority owner two years ago. In order to make sure he’s doing the right thing with his $1.1 billion investment Ross needs to get the answers to some very important questions.
Considering I ask question for a living I figured I’d help Ross out a little. These are the topic I usually couldn’t get many straight answers for. Most got a dirty look sent my way, but I’m sure Ross won’t get the same reception.
Ross has to take off his fan glasses and put on his owner shades; the ones that made his a successful businessman.
The ultimate question he needs to answer for himself is whether he trusts those individuals who are running his franchise.
Here’s a summary of some of the questions Ross should be asking General Manager Jeff Ireland and coach Tony Sparano early this week (likely on Tuesday) to determine if change needs to be made in Davie.
1. Why did the Miami Dolphins lose four of the last five games? Why is this the second straight year a Sparano led team has fallen apart at the end of the season?
2. Why did the 2010 team produce a 6-2 record on the road but a disappointing 1-7 record at home? What changes would you make to the team’s approach for home games?
3. What happened to the running game this season? Why did the offensive line get rebuilt, and why did that unit average a dismal 3.7 yards per carry? Who takes responsibility for that unit’s struggles?
4. How far is this franchise away from the Patriots, which swept the Dolphins this season, and the Jets, which split the season series? Both teams are playoff bound, but the Dolphins produced the second straight 7-9 season?
5. Why was a major financial investment in Brandon Marshall made this offseason, yet the team end up with one of the worst offenses in the NFL, regressing from the productivity in 2009? How and why did the coaching staff fail to use Marshall properly? Why wasn’t he targeted more in the red zone?
6. Why did Chad Henne’s development staff? He’s gone from the 22nd rated quarterback in terms of passing efficiency in 2009 to the 26th after throwing more interceptions (19) this season. Why did this two-year starter, who was the quarterback this blueprint was built around, not improve?
7. Why did the team stick with a regressing Henne instead of trying Tyler Thigpen out as the starting quarterback before week 17? After the Oakland game Henne’s struggled began to snowball, but the coaches kept endorsing him instead of benching him for the second time this season.
8. What is the plan to address the team’s need for a quality starting quarterback? Will it be done through the draft, free agency or the trade market?
9. What coaches will be removed from the staff, and which ones will remain? Also, what offensive coordinator candidates will you pursue, and how will you sell them to join Sparano’s staff despite the fact he only has one year remaining on his deal?
10. What’s the game plan for ensuring that defensive coordinator Mike Nolan, and some of the other well thought of members of this present coaching staff, remain with the franchise?
11. Why did the Dolphins defense produce just 19 turnovers (11 interceptions and eight fumbles recovered) this season, and how can they improve on those totals in 2011?
12. What is the plan with free agents like Ronnie Brown, Ricky Williams, Paul Soliai, Tony McDaniel, and Richie Incognito, just to name a few? Who will be brought back and who will be let go, and how much of a financial investment is needed to secure the keepers?
13. How will the Dolphins get more speed on this roster? What positions on offense clearly need upgrading from the speed aspect.
14. What’s the vision for the type of offense you’d like the next offensive coordinator to run? Will it remain a conservative approach?
15. What causes the special team unit to perform erratically this season, and how do those holes get patched?
16. Where did the personnel side go wrong with how the team assembled talent the past two seasons. Why was so much money wasted on bad free agent deals, and why aren’t the draft picks being maximized?
17. What do you expect will get accomplished if Ross gave what’s left of the Trifecta one more season?

Ross at Dolphins camp all day, possibly meeting with SparanoThe meeting Tony Sparano was to have with owner Stephen Ross may have begun in earnest this afternoon.
Dolphins owner Stephen Ross arrived at the Dolphins facility at 1 p.m. Monday and stayed for several hours -- outlasting some employees that left at the close of business, The Herald's Jeff Darlington is reporting.
Ross was in the company of club Chief Executive Officer Mike Dee.
It is reasonable to believe the club owner is allowing Sparano to give his version of what happened with the Dolphins in 2010 and a plan for addressing everything that is wrong -- including whether he would fire or relieve any assistants and what his plan would be for addressing obvious definciencies on the team, including the quarterback position.
It has been known for weeks that Sparano's job is on the line. The season-ending three-game losing skid, including the 38-7 loss to New England in the season finale did not help matters for the incumbent coach. A 1-7 record at home is also an issue that Ross was unhappy about this season.
On Monday, Sparano met with the media and gave few details on what he planned to tell Ross, with few being defined as none.
“I’m not going to get into that," Sparano said. "That’s going to be between me and Mr. Ross and we’ll go through that. But, I’m not going to get into all or any of those things right now.”
Sparano was asked how he would convince Ross he is the right man to coach the team going forward -- even as potential candidates Jon Gruden and Jim Harbaugh were working at Sun Life Stadium tonight, one as an announcer for ABC, the other as the Stanford head coach leading his team during the Orange Bowl.
"I’m not going to get into my plan with Mr. Ross," Sparano said, meaning he wasn't going to share the plan with the media.
