A league source tells the Palm Beach Post that the Dolphins "think very highly" of Nevada QB Colin Kaepernick.
The Fins might be an ideal fit for the developmental passer. GM Jeff Ireland has indicated that Chad Henne will get another shot to prove himself, and in that scenario Kaepernick could sit for a year. Ireland may need to acquire a second-round pick to get Kaepernick, though. He currently doesn't have one.

The Miami Dolphins have announced DL Randy Starks has been added to the AFC roster for the 2010 Pro Bowl in place of Pittsburgh Steelers DE Brett Keisel.

Dolphins CEO Mike Dee insisted Friday that the organization has yet to give up on Chad Henne.
"Young quarterbacks are what they are, we’ve all seen it over time," said Dee. "Nobody’s given up on Chad. ... We’re not talking about Chad past tense, we’re talking about him in present tense. How do we make him better? How do we bring in pieces to make the offense better? ... To have a Dan Marino era, you have to have a Dan Marino. Hopefully Chad becomes that."

NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reports that the Dolphins have begun "preliminary" talks with Cameron Wake about a contract extension.
Wake busted out for 14 sacks, three forced fumbles, and 57 tackles (48 solo) in 2010, and is scheduled to make just $480,000 in 2011. The 29-year-old entered the season planning to ask the Fins for a new contract if he hit double-digit sacks, and he proceeded to emerge as one of the most feared pass rushers in football. Wake is currently signed through 2012.

Getting the nod from coaches is probably more prestigious than being voted in by the fans, when all's said and done. Denney, 32, was rewarded with a four-year, $3.03M extension before the season. He's signed through 2013.
