Valaki írta, hogy Gabbert statistikailag legjobb éve 2012 volt(amikor Olson volt itt a QB coach). Én meg erre azt írtam, hogy ebben az évben 2-14 végeztünk, ami tudtomal még mindig a franchise legrosszabb eredménye. És igen, emlékeszem, hogy 3 OTs meccset is elveszettünk, igaz mindet kvázi nyerő pozícióból.

He purely is, in talking to him, about wanting to help the offensive line get better. He's got great humility. There's thing that just in my conversations with him, I learned a great deal. The way our culture is, I think he's excited about what he can bring to it. I think he's a really good fit."

Alright, here we go. My thoughts on Greg Olson.
1. He's uber conservative. Far too conservative.
2. His goal when calling plays seemed to revolve around getting the ball out of Carr's hands fast. Didn't want Carr taking many hits/sacks
2b This was great, and helped keep Carr healthy. But at times it was really detrimental to the offense.
3. He gets too cute with his play calling. Usually will opt for a short pass on 3rd & short over just running it with our 6'3, 225 lb RB
4. He loves his screens. Doesn't seem to care about personnel. We had very little speed/YAC ability but opted for short screens/slants/etc
5. Goes along with 4- Didn't play to strengths of his players. Dude, trying to rack up YAC with James Jones and Andre Holmes is a baaad idea
6. We stuck with Maurice Jones-Drew and Darren McFadden for 2/3 of the season before giving Latavius Murray any shot. Pretty incriminating
7. Play designs usually weren't great for the situation we were in. On 3rd and 10, you'd often see 3/4 WR's routes didn't go past 5-6 yds
8. Obviously Olson had VERY little to work with. But not a big fan of how he used (or didn't use) the talent we had
