On the subject of Tom Brady, one NFL executive told me, "Mark (Davis) isn't his dad, but don't think he doesn't have some of his father's attributes. Al loved to make a splash, to win the news conference, to get the conversation, Mark wants that."
According to that executive, "Mark was on love with Tom Brady before, but Gruden wanted Derek Carr. Mark was always had great respect for Derek Carr the man, but was not a big fan of his play. So when Josh McDaniels and Dave Ziegler saw Carr as a positive reason to come to the Raiders he was fine with it."

The odds for Jimmy Garoppolo have plummeted. I have now heard from three people that Jimmy G. will proceed to the Jets. One NFL Scout told me, "Jimmy has the relationships with the people at the Jets, and his style fits their MO of don't make mistakes, run the ball, and play great defense. That might be the most expected thing in the NFL.”
Multiple NFL people have expressed nearly the same observation as me regarding Derek Carr and Jimmy Garoppolo. One assistant GM said, "They are close to being the same guy. Derek fell off in a big way this year, but no one takes into account the offense. I know if Derek Carr couldn't run the Raiders offense the way Josh wanted, neither will a constantly injured Jimmy."
Mac Jones remains a viable option, but would the New England Patriots trade him away?
The Raiders hope to get something for Derek Carr (I'll address that later), but even if they don't, they have plenty of cap and a Tom Brady signing comes with no loss of NFL Draft resources.

One name that is out there but is dwindling the more I talk with people in the know is Aaron Rodgers.
One organization member told me, "Aaron would come at a huge cost, both in salary ($50 million) and trade resources, and the price you pay for organizational culture."

Több szempontból lehetne azt mondani, hogy könnyű a válasz, de közben mégis elég nehéz szerintem.

JJ vitte a hátán az O-t, Ő lett a liga futó bajnoka, hozzáállása, mentalitása pont az, amilyen kultúrát ki szeretne alakítani a JMD-Ziegler páros.
Hosszabbítás ugye? De legalább egy fr.tag+2023 szezon nem?

Az RB poszt értéke nagyon megkopott az utóbbi években, JJ minden szezonban sérülésekkel küzdött mióta draftoltuk és idén contract évben hozta a legjobb számait. A 2022-es drafton ráadásul draftoltunk már egy hasonló felépítésű futót a helyére.
Fr.tag&trade vagy trade market hiánya esetén release nem?


Szerintem nagyban függ a sorsa a következő QB-tól is!

Egy Stidham-rookie megoldás mellé nagyon kellene Jacobs, mint workhorse és mint culture figura is.
Egy Brady érkezéssel kvázi megveszed a culture figurát kivülről és nem marad pénzed JJ-re szerintem.

Február 21 és március 7 között kerülnek kiosztásra a fr.tag-ek, akkor lehet okosabbak leszünk majd.

Amúgy mire lehet elég ez a 1\7?
Sajnos a QB pick nem tuti még így szerintem, akár 3 QB is kimehet előttünk, ha nem megyünk felfelé...

Bears-nek ott van Fields, de több helyen olvastam, hogy lehet 1\1-re visznek QB-t és elcserélik inkább Fields-et. Emiatt is képben lehetnek, illetve leginkább amiatt, hogy minden igazán QB needes csapat velük akar majd első körben cserélni, hogy a Texans elé kerüljön, ugyanis a Texans minden várakozás szerint QB-t visz majd. Így elég jü eséllyel az első két pick QB lesz szerintem.

A Colts szintén szinte biztosan QB-t visz majd, így hiába vagyunk a 7. helyen simán kimegy a 3 legjobb QB előttünk.

Emiatt én simán el tudom fogadni, ha felmegyünk akár mi az 1\1-re vagy amúgy az se lenne szerintem ördögtől való, ha Fields-ért cserélnénk.

Mivel a Bears igen sok cap space-el rendelkezik és minden segítségre szükségük van el tudom képzelni, hogy érdekli őket esetleg egy JJ trade franchise tag után (persze tudom ott van Montgomery, de azért nem egy kategória a kettő). Andre James kevés csapat számára lehet trade value, de abba a falba, még lehet elfér Ő is. Amúgy Darren Waller elcserélésétől sem zárkóznék el teljesen az FO helyében. 3,7M lenne csak a spórolás, ami és még több is rögtön menne Moreau-nak így, de ha valakinek például a Bears-nek egy ilyen csere során Ő érdekes lenne, akkor érdemes lenne végig gondolni ezt is.

Fields-et nem néztem eleget ahhoz, hogy komoly véleményem legyen róla, de ha az idei class 4. legjobb QB-jával kell összehasonlítani és nem kell érte túl sokat adni lehet benne fantázia még akkor is, ha a jó kis rookie szerződésből elment 2 év és az a csapat, aki a legtöbbet tudja róla hajlandó egy ismeretlen rookie-ra lecserélni...

Majd biztos lehet valahol egy idő után valami jó okfejtést olvasni arról milyen QB is kellene igazán JMD-nek. Mi a legfontosabb trait nála...lehet röhögve maradunk 1\7-en és visszük Tanner McKee-t vagy Anthony Richardson-t. Persze lehet ugye nem QB is a pick, van lyuk a kereten bőven, sőt hátra trade is lehet opció, ha kimegy a 3 QB és nem akarunk ilyen elől mást húzni, illetve van kérő az 1\7-re...
Második kör elején is húzhatunk QB-t, ha marad, de ugye ez már elég rizikós lenne. Ezt akkor tudom elképzelni, ha érkezik Brady mondjuk, 1\7 ment mondjuk a védelembe és 2. kör elején ott figyel Hooker vagy Nix és látja benne a JMD-Ziegler páros a jövőt Brady után...

Izgalmas hónapok jönnek az tuti.
Első kérdés, hogy Carr trade vagy cut. Erre legkésőbb február 15-ig kell várnunk, mert aznap garantáltá válna a teljes 2023-as fizuja és még 7,5M 2024-ről is. Ha nincs trade, akkor Valentin napra szeretettel kap majd egy utilaput a csapattól 😊

- állítólag a Titans meccsen tört el valami végleg Carral kapcsolatban
- Vinni szerint JJ 100% , hogy maradni fog.
- Hondo szerint Brady a front runner.
- Dan Patrick szerint JMD viszonya nem olyan jó, bezzeg JimmyG-vel spanok és szerinte utóbbi legalább annyira legit célpont.

“[Davis] wanted Brady before when Jon Gruden finally turned it down and now, he wants Brady again. Mark thinks having McDaniels is going to be the key,” Cole said he was told by a former NFL executive.

As for what the Raiders head coach thinks of the Brady plan, it sounds like McDaniels might not be sold on the idea yet.
