The NFL trade deadline is coming up next week and the Las Vegas Raiders will surely be involved in some form or fashion. With the team sitting at 5-2, it makes sense for the Raiders to be “buyers” as they try to win the AFC West.


However, one current Raider player that could be on the move is Clelin Ferrell. The former No. 4 overall pick was a healthy scratch in Week 1 and has played just 95 snaps as a rotational defensive end this season.

It’s pretty clear that he needs a change in scenery and a coaching staff that believes in him. That’s why it’s not surprising that the Raiders have had discussions about moving Ferrell, according to SI’s Albert Breer.

Here is what Breer had to say about a possible trade involving Ferrell this week:

“Speaking of draft busts, the Raiders have had discussions involving 2019’s fourth pick, Clelin Ferrell. The ex-Clemson star has 6.5 sacks in 32 career games, and none to date in 2021.”

With Ferrell just being a rotational piece, the Raiders could trade him now, pick up a draft pick and save some cap space in 2022. They likely won’t get much in return, but they would be opening a roster spot and playing time for someone like third-round pick Malcolm Koonce.

Ferrell has had his moments with the Raiders, but he has never lived up to his draft status. That’s not entirely his fault as he never should have been a top-five pick. However, look for the Raiders to strongly consider moving on from Ferrell in the next week if an offer does arise.

DVOA és EPA mutatókban hogyan állunk? Van valakinek infója? Amit láttam (DVOA) ott közép mezőnyben vagyunk, ami nem túl jó előjel a későbbiekre nézve.

nem csoda, hogy híján van a többiek között a tekintélynek...persze, lehet csak szerintem gáz meg ne kinézet/viselet alapján ítélj, meg lehet jobb ember, mint jó néhány a többi közül..de azért

Való igaz így 4 WR (Ruggs, Edwards, Renfrow, Jones) maradt az aktív keretben, ez kevés. PS-ben 3 elkapó van: az ex-chicagoi Javon Wims vmint 2 UDFA, Dillon Stoner és DJ Turner.

Ha veterán segítségben gondokodik a stáb egy Ateman visszahozatal, ami legink érthető lenne vagy ha komolyan gondolják a PO-runt és Mayocknak van ennyi döntési szabadsága akk vmi trade. Bár én fognám a fejem ha kihajítanának draftpicket egy ilyen cut után.

Hát szinte semmi lehetőséget nem kapott és az se fog, aki jön a helyére, de lehet egyenlőre csak PS-ből lesz gameday-re felhúzva majd vki.

Nem látnám a trade értelmét, mert a Ruggs-Edwards-Renfrow hármas fix és mögöttük Jones bőven jó arra az egy-egy elkapásra. Főleg majd, ha Waller is visszatér. Moreau most megmutatta, h szépen elviszi a TE posztot, ha kell, így Waller lehet OW méginkább.

Sérülés esetén lesz majd fejtörős ez a "vékonyság"...
