Neither Aidan O’Connell nor Gardner Minshew had a good day at practice, though O’Connell was the more accurate of the two.

Rookie running back Dylan Laube had a good first day and was even on the field for some first-team passing downs. His wiggle and pass-catching skills were on display.

It looks like guard Dylan Parham’s move to the right side is happening, partially to help out young right tackle Thayer Munford. With rookie Jackson Powers-Johnson slowly working his way back from an undisclosed injury, veteran Cody Whitehair took first-team reps at left guard. Former Saint Andrus Peet was at left tackle, with Kolton Miller still on the mend from offseason shoulder surgery.

The defense brought the fire during team period. Cornerbacks Brandon Facyson and Jakorian Bennett took turns making plays on the outside, including an interception by Bennett.

The defensive MVP for the day was Christian Wilkins. The sixth-year lineman got off the line of scrimmage at full speed every play, seemingly finding his way in the backfield constantly.

WIth the new kickoff rules being implemented this upcoming season, the Raiders are taking a look at anybody and everybody for returner roles. Tuesday's practice was highlighted by Laube, Nate Hobbs, Jack Jones and DJ Turner.

Appearing Friday with Jim Rome, Crosby offered this thought on the existence of UFOs. With proof.

“There definitely is,” Crosby said when asked if there are UFO and aliens among us. “That’s not even a question.”

Then came the story.

“It’s real,” Crosby told Rome. “Like we were literally on a flight back from Miami, and we’ve seen a UFO with our own eyes. And that sounds crazy, but you can ask the pilots, anybody that was there. It was wild. And I seen it, and they had no idea what it was. There was nothing on the radar, nothing. And it was like a big shining light going in and out.”

Raiders reworked the contract of three-time Pro Bowl DE Maxx Crosby to give him a $6 million raise for the upcoming season, per league sources.

The team also moved an additional $1.2 million into 2025.

The Raiders wanted to reward their leader, culture setter, and one of the best players in the league with the intent of keeping him in Las Vegas for years to come. No new years were added to Crosby’s deal, meaning the 26-year-old still has three years left on his current contract.
