Former Miami Dolphins cornerback Patrick Surtain, who this season is a Dolphins defensive assistant coach, is set to take a job with Florida State to be their new secondary coach. Surtain will stay with the Dolphins throughout their playoff run before starting with Florida State per reports.

For Surtain, this is a great opportunity and step up in a larger role with a major college football program. One also has to wonder, though, if this is a sign the handwriting is on the wall that Josh Boyer is going to be let go after the season and the entire defensive coaching staff is going to be replaced.

Looked more into Byron Jones today & takeaway is that his recovery from March surgery stopped progressing at a point he didn't feel he could play. Sam Madison did not say that but said today: "He could have...helped. Injuries come up. Some people fight through them. Some don't."

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald is expecting Dolphins and Tua will agree for him to wear a more protective helmet and he will move forward as 2023 starter. There's clearly no better realistic multiyear alternative and nobody moves on from a QB who has this type of production
There’s a good chance Tua Tagovailoa will end 2022 season ranked #1 in the NFL in passer rating, #1 in red zone passer rating and #1 in third down passer rating. Tua has the highest career passer rating in Dolphins history. If healthy he clearly should be Miami’s ‘23 starter.
Fun fact: if Tua holds that spot, he’ll be the youngest QB to lead the league in passer rating since 1985 and one of five QBs under the age of 25 to lead the league in passer rating in the Super Bowl era.

Eddig is logikus lepes volt ezen gondolat, így nagyjából a 3. ütés utan, am a d. Hamlin eset utan bizonyos. Sot az játékosnan kételyeket ébreszthetett, főként akiknel egyebkent is benne volt a visszavonulás szikraja a fejeben.
