Gil Brandt: Mike McCoy, San Diego Chargers. I think his coaching ability was underestimated until probably the middle of last season. He's done a very good job making the offense much more balanced.

Dave Dameshek: McCoy. If the Chargers win the AFC West (which, as you might recall, includes Peyton's Broncos), no one will argue that anyone other than McCoy, in just his second year as an NFL head coach, deserves the award. Oh, and by the way, the Chargers will win the AFC West.

Elliot Harrison: McCoy. San Diego will make the playoffs, and with the difficulty the Chargers have given the Broncos in recent years, the Bolts might surprise some folks. Looking for 10 to 11 wins from this group.

Ha Geathers elszakította valamelyik térdszalagját, akkor a DL-be igazolnunk kell, Carrathers ezen a meccsen nem remekelt, de egy rookiehoz képest elfogadható volt a játéka. Felmerült Tommie Kelly neve, akit a Pats nemrég dobott ki, bár ő nem tudom , hogy NT-nek alkalmas-e, illetve Aubrayo Franklin neve aki 2 éve nagyon jól játszott nálunk. Tavaly Lissemore és Guy is szezon közben jött kukából majdhogynem, és mindketten bejöttek. Egyre többet lehet olvasni a 4-3-ra átállás ötletéről (2 héttel a szezon kezdete előtt meredek gondolatok).

Liuget félisten volt. Riversnek is jól ment, készen áll a szezonra. Verrett és Freeney első meccsén játszott idén. Verrett szélső CB-nek állt fel, Flowers ment be nickelbe. Tesztelve nem igazán volt. Freeney-nek volt egy nagyon szép TFL-je LM James ellen. Ezt a meccset sem úsztuk meg sérülések nélkül, Geathers-t és Tjong-A-Tjoe-t is kocsival vitték le a pályáról. Ez különösen érzékenyen érintheti a csapatot, ugyanis a DL-ből Lissemore és Guy is sérült, bár elvileg mindketten ott lesznek az első héten. Kavell Conner kezdett a lábsérülésekkel bajlódó Te'o helyén. 7 tackle-el fejezte be a meccset amivel a legeredményesebb volt a vendég oldalon.

Lehet kukázni kéne vkit (aki lehetőleg futás ellen stabil) a DL-be az 53-as keretszűkítéskor...

Herndon beszél arról, hogy kisebb fajta csalódás volt számára, hogy habár több csapat is hívogatta edzésekre, a Chargers többször is felvette vele a kapcsolatot, mégsem draftolta őt senki. De úgy érzi, hogy a Chargers TC-ben jó helyen, van, sokat tanulhat a többiektől. A csapat olyan WR-ket keres, akik jól tudnak route-ot futni, elszabadulni a védőitől és jól tudnak blokkolni, főleg az utolsóban ő kifejezetten jónak érzi magát. Egyébként return-ökkel is foglalkozott még Arkansas-iként. Az edzőknek első sorban az egyenletes teljesítményét akarja megmutatni, hogy mindig megbízható, lehet rá számítani.
