Fenway Bowl 17:00

Louisville vs. Cincinnati

Louisville has multiple potential draft picks on its defense, including fifth-year LB Yasir Abdullah (6-1, 235), one of the more underrated prospects in the class. As a pass rusher, he explodes out of his stance to win the corner, but he can also play off-ball linebacker. He shows the open-field tackling and athleticism to turn and cover downfield. Abdullah leads the team with 13.0 tackles for loss, 8.0 sacks and four forced fumbles.

Cincinnati had six players drafted off its defense last season, including a top-five pick in Sauce Gardner. Understandably, the Bearcats won’t have nearly that many draft picks this year, but there are several interesting prospects to watch. Near the top of the list is LB Ivan Pace Jr., who collected 125 tackles for Miami (Ohio) in 2021, then transferred to Cincinnati and won AAC Defensive Player of the Year honors in ’22. He leads the team in tackles (120), tackles for loss (19.5), sacks (9.0) and forced fumbles (2). With his lack of ideal size and speed, Pace doesn’t have ideal physical traits for the NFL, but his instincts and toughness will give him a chance once in camp.


Las Vegas Bowl 20:30

Florida vs. Oregon State

Both of Florida’s potential first-rounders (QB Anthony Richardson, OG O’Cyrus Torrence) have opted out of this game, but third-year DT Gervon Dexter Sr. (6-6, 315) is expected to play. Dexter, who already has declared for the draft, underwhelmed this season as a pass rusher, but he showed noticeable improvements in the run game. When he properly utilizes his long levers, he can control the point of attack, peek in the backfield and find the ball carrier. Dexter is a projected Day 2 prospect.

Oregon State has a legit draft prospect on offense (TE Luke Musgrave) and defense (CB Rejzohn Wright), but each will remain out for this game due to injuries. So, keep an eye on sixth-year Brandon Kipper (6-6, 333), who moved inside this season from right tackle. The Idaho native needs to be more efficient with his punch timing, but he blocks with balance and coordination in the run game and as a pass blocker.

Washington State vs. Fresno State

Washington State sixth-year LB Daiyan Henley (6-1, 230) has had an interesting journey. A former high school quarterback, the son of a famous music producer (Eugene Henley) and a wide receiver when he was at Nevada, Henley likely will continue on to the NFL next season after a strong 2022. With his strong hands and open-field finishing ability, Henley is one of the more reliable tacklers in this year’s draft class.

Yes, Fresno State sixth-year QB Jake Haener (6-0, 209) is undersized. No, he doesn’t have a huge arm. But I don’t know how anyone could study him and not come away impressed with his field reading, accuracy and competitive toughness. Similar in ways to Taylor Heinicke, Haener is an instinctive player with the “make-it” talent to be drafted and stick in the NFL as a backup and spot starter.

Southern Miss vs. Rice

While not on the same level as former Southern Miss WR Quez Watkins (pick No. 200 in the 2020 draft), fifth-year WR Jason Brownlee (6-2, 200) has made 20 touchdown catches in his three-year career with the Golden Eagles. He has been a consistent chain-mover — 71.2 percent of his catches have resulted in a first down — and uses his 81-inch wingspan to expand his catch radius.

Rice fifth-year DE Ikenna Enechukwu (6-4, 267) looked disruptive against USC in September, whether he was attacking from the edge or inside as a three-technique. He is a tad stiff and his overall impact was too up and down throughout the season, but he has length, play strength and effort that will get him on several draft boards.


New Mexico Bowl 1:30

BYU vs. SMU

Despite being limited by a few nagging injuries this season and lacking eye-popping production, BYU fourth-year WR Puka Nacua (6-2, 204) has draftable talent (watch his play vs. Boise State or Arkansas for evidence). He is more smooth than sudden as an athlete, which helps him gain separation in his routes. Nacua is dangerous in the underneath game, too, because of his vision and toughness to create after the catch.

SMU fourth-year WR Rashee Rice (6-1, 203), meanwhile, has both the production (96 catches, 1,355 yards, 10 touchdowns) and clear NFL talent to hear his name called in April. Unfortunately, he will not play in this game as he continues to heal from a toe injury, but the receiving cupboard isn’t bare for the Mustangs. Fifth-year QB Tanner Mordecai (6-2, 216), an Oklahoma transfer, has passed for 70 touchdowns over the last two seasons.


Frisco Bowl 3:15

North Texas vs. Boise State

North Texas has produced just one draft pick since 2004, and I don’t expect that to change in April. But fourth-year CB DeShawn Gaddie (6-2, 190) put together a strong season (11 passes defended) that hasn’t gone unnoticed by NFL scouts. The Indianapolis native moves well and challenges passes down the field.

Boise State’s JL Skinner (6-4, 210) is my top-ranked senior safety in this class. He has a unique package of size, length and speed for the position. After collecting three total interceptions over his first three seasons, he leads the Broncos with four interceptions and ranks second in tackles this season. Skinner will be looking to cement his status as a Day 2 prospect.

FG váltás után még mindig a UIW-nál az előny(32-27). Ami nagyon durva, hogy Scotték majdnem kétszer annyi yarddal(430-232) és 1st downnal(23-12) rendelkeznek, mint a Bison. Ez NAGYON ritka dominancia, főleg a Fargodomeban. Az NDSU teljesen feladta a passzjátékot, Cam Millernek 1 jó passza van 5 yardért. A 4. negyed felénél vagyunk...

A UIW nem adja könnyen a meccset. 2 Lindsay Scott futott TD-vel újra előnyben az Incarnate Word!!!

És már vezet is a Bison. 3 turnover egyszerűen nem fér bele.

Lehet Baggionak mégis kéne gyorsan tennie az NDSU W-re. Scott picket dobott, Kobe Johnson futott TD-je révén pedig már 16-10-re zárkózik a rekordbajnok. És még nincs félidő.

Egyébként aki college triple headert akar ma, megkaphatja, mert hajnali 1-kor FCS elődöntő North Dakota State - UIW.
A rekordbajnok és FCS címvédő az idei szezon legeredményesebb támadósora(53 pont/meccs) és legjobb játékosa ellen (Lindsay Scott JR, - 59 TD passz, 68 total TD, mindkettő all-time FCS szezoncsúcs!). Nem véletlen, hogy a Cardinals HC-je, G.J. Kinne jövőre már a Texas State vezetőedzője lesz. Az utódját tegnap nevezték ki - Clint Killough 29 éves mindössze, ő lesz a legfiatalabb HC az FCS-ben, A Bisonban sok a sérült, a Dakotraktor Hunter Luepke is kidőlt már, szóval van esély egy nagy derbire.
