Jeff Ulbrich said Jordan Travis hasn't progressed as they've hoped and that there's been some setbacks in his recovery — so it seems unlikely he's activated before the end of the season.

Adds that decision would be based on how his body feels and whether the new regime wants him back. Of course, he indicated recently that he preferred to play. "I think so," he said a couple of weeks ago. So a change of position.

New York Jets owner Woody Johnson arrived in his helicopter on Tuesday morning during practice.

GM Joe Douglas turned to interim HC Jeff Ulbrich and joked:

"If they pull me off the practice field, it's been an honor to serve with you."

Douglas was fired shortly after.
