Jeff Ulbrich said Jordan Travis hasn't progressed as they've hoped and that there's been some setbacks in his recovery — so it seems unlikely he's activated before the end of the season.

, now says he's not sure if he wants to play next year. Says the #Jets would be "the first option" if he decides to play in '25. Adds that decision would be based on how his body feels and whether the new regime wants him back. Of course, he indicated recently that he preferred to play. "I think so," he said a couple of weeks ago. So a change of position.

New York Jets owner Woody Johnson arrived in his helicopter on Tuesday morning during practice.

GM Joe Douglas turned to interim HC Jeff Ulbrich and joked:

"If they pull me off the practice field, it's been an honor to serve with you."

Douglas was fired shortly after.

Jets are retaining The 33rd Team to support them on their upcoming general manager and head coaching searches.

Former Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum and Vikings general manager Rick Spielman will lead the project for the NFL Technology and Media company. The 33rd Team will provide its data analysis and experience to assist the Jets in their search for new leadership.

Some around the league say they won’t be surprised if Rodgers is cut in-season. As for Rodgers, his relationship with the owner has been strained for months — that’s not a secret in the building or the locker room. At this point, after conversations with sources with the team and around the league, my understanding is that Rodgers still wants to play in 2025, just not for the New York Jets.
