The following are capsule sketches of the 16 rookies known to have agreed to terms with the Green Bay Packers. Unlike some teams, the Packers made no announcement of their undrafted additions.

Diondre Borel, QB-RB-WR, Utah State: 6-0, 199, from Oakley, Calif. Probably projects as a “slash” player from the mold of New England’s Julian Edelman. Reserve WR in 2007, then started at QB for three years. Finished with an NFL passer rating of 79.9, completing 56.1% of 922 passes for 6,698 yards, 36 TDs and 27 interceptions. Also rushed 499 times for 1,398 (2.8) and 18 TDs. Runs 40 yards in 4.51 seconds, vertical jump of 32½ inches, broad jump of 9-11 and 11 reps on the 225-pound bench press.

Anthony Bratton, S, Delaware: 6-0, 213, from Manassas, Va. Started 39 of 44 games, finishing with 269 tackles (eight for loss), seven interceptions and 19 passes defensed. Runs the 40 in 4.52, vertical jump of 37, 10-5 broad jump and 15 reps on the bench.

Ray Dominguez, G, Arkansas: 6-4, 337, from Bainbridge, Ga. Three-year starter at tackle. Tremendous basketball player in high school. “He has a wide, thick body,” an AFC scout said before the draft. “He’s got some toughness about him. He struggles as a pass protector.” Runs the 40 in 5.40, vertical jump of 28½, broad jump of 7-10 and a mere 21 reps on the bench. Has long arms (34 inches). Scored 23 on the 50-question Wonderlic intelligence test.

Sampson Genus, C, South Florida: 6-0½, 315, from Lake City, Fla. Two-year starter at center. He’s short and his body lacks definition, but he also plays extremely hard. Runs 5.53, vertical jump of 27, broad jump of 8-0, 28 reps on the bench and 15 on the Wonderlic. His arms are just 307/8.

Tori Gurley, WR, South Carolina: 6-4, 215, from Rock Hill, S.C. On paper, he and Dominguez could be the top prospects. Signed to play both football and basketball at North Carolina in 2006 but failed to qualify academically and worked for a year. Played both sports at a New Hampshire prep school in ’07 before signing with Gamecocks, for whom he redshirted in ’08 and started 19 of 27 games the past two seasons. Declared with two seasons of eligibility remaining. “Size guy,” one scout said in April. “He should have probably stayed in school another year.” Finished with 75 receptions for 905 yards (12.1) and six TDs. Runs 4.57, vertical jump of 33½, broad jump of 9-10 and 15 reps on the bench. Longest arms (35) of any WR at the combine. Will be 24 in November.

Jon Hoese, FB, Minnesota: 6-2, 238, from Glencoe, Minn. Walked on as a safety and was moved to offense in ’08. Started at FB in 2009-’10. Finished with 52 rushes for 161 yards (3.1) and six TDs, and 23 catches for 184 (8.0) and one TD. Runs 4.82, vertical jump of 35½, broad jump of 9-11, 25 reps on the bench and a Wonderlic of 26. Performed well on special teams.

M.D. Jennings, CB, Arkansas State: 5-11½, 187, from Calhoun City, Miss. Started at free safety in 2008-’09 but figures more as a press cornerback in Green Bay. Finished with 241 tackles (7½ for loss), eight interceptions, two sacks and 15 passes broken up. Runs 4.53, vertical jump of 35½, broad jump of 10-5, 10 reps on the bench and Wonderlic of 15.

Elijah “Peanut” Joseph, ILB, Temple: 6-1, 243, from Hartford, Conn. Started 19 games at OLB in 2008-’09 and 11 games in ’10, including eight in the middle. Physical, hard-hitting, old-fashioned middle linebacker. Finished with 183 tackles (12½ for loss), two interceptions, three sacks and four forced fumbles. Runs 4.83 and Wonderlic of 16. Extremely small hands (8½).

Elisah Joseph, DL, Temple: 6-2, 290, from Hartford, Conn. Elijah is his identical twin. First-team all-Mid-American Conference in 2010, his first year as a full-fledged starter. Runs 5.03, vertical jump of 28, broad jump of 8-7, a remarkable 43 reps on the bench and Wonderlic of 16. Finished with 96 tackles (6½ for loss) and one sack.

Jamari Lattimore, OLB, Middle Tennessee State: 6-2, 230, from Miami. Played three seasons after one junior-college year. Started all 25 games as a DE in 2009-’10. Sun Belt Conference defensive player of the year in ’10 when he recorded 11½ sacks, tying the school record set by the Packers’ Erik Walden in ’06. The Packers will try to bulk him up and convert him to linebacker. He is extremely raw. Runs 4.72, vertical jump of 31, broad jump of 9-2, 20 reps on the bench and Wonderlic of 12. Has long arms (33¼) and huge hands (107/8). Finished with 201 tackles (30 for loss) and 20½ sacks.

Brandian Ross, CB-S, Youngstown State: 5-11½, 196, from Richmond, Va. Three-year starter. First Penguins defensive player signed as a free agent in eight years. Finished with 223 tackles and seven interceptions. Wonderlic of 15. Played both cornerback and safety. Team captain as a senior.

Brandon Saine, RB, Ohio State: 5-11, 220, from Piqua, Ohio. Started nine games in 2009 and had his best season, rushing 145 times for 739 yards (5.1) and four TDs. Came back to start eight times as a senior but had just 70 carries for 337 (4.8) and two TDs. “Not tough,” an NFC scout said in April. Extremely fast (4.39), vertical jump of 34½, broad jump of 9-5, 22 reps on the bench and Wonderlic of 29, highest among running backs at the combine. “He’s more of just a speed guy without really great run skills,” an AFC scout said before the draft. Finished with 301 rushes for 1,408 yards (4.7) and nine TDs, and 55 receptions for 616 (11.2) and eight TDs. Team captain in 2010. Ohio’s Mr. Football in 2006.

Theo Sherman, G-T, James Madison: 6-3, 302, from Danville, Va. His former agent, Albert Thomas, said Sherman had agreed with Green Bay. Four-year starter at tackle. Runs 5.27, vertical jump of 27½, broad jump of 9-0, a scant 17 reps on the bench and a Wonderlic of 12.

Antoine “Shaky” Smithson, KR-WR, Utah: 5-11, 202, from Baltimore. Led the nation in punt-return average as a senior, bringing back 30 punts for a 19.1 mark and two TDs. “He’s a return specialist,” an AFC special-teams coach said before the draft. “Got decent size. The problem is, he’s not real fast. He’s a 4.6 guy. I don’t know if he can play any other position. But you’ve got to give the guy credit, he was pretty good at Utah.” Also returned kickoffs for two years, averaging 24.4. In two seasons, caught 38 passes for 483 (12.7) and three TDs and rushed 31 times for 132 (4.3) and three TDs. Runs high 4.6s, vertical jump of 30½, broad jump of 9-2, 10 reps on the bench and Wonderlic of 15. Had shoulder surgery in February 2010. Spent two years in junior college.

Vic So’oto, OLB, Brigham Young: 6-3½, 260, from Carlsbad, Calif. Started last two seasons at DE but said he’ll convert to OLB in Green Bay. “I’ve been training with Brad Jones and Jarrett Bush and Brandon Chillar in San Diego,” So’oto said. “I had a few offers. I felt Green Bay was best.” Suffered season-ending knee and foot injuries in 2006 and ’08. Played TE in ’07, catching 12 passes. Led the team in sacks (five) and tackles for loss (11½) in ’10. Runs 4.68, vertical jump of 32, broad jump of 9-1 and a whopping 35 reps on the bench.

Kerry Taylor, WR, Arizona State: 6-0, 196, from Chandler, Ariz. Basically started for three years, finishing with 112 catches for 1,433 yards (12.8) and seven TDs. Son of Keith Taylor, a safety for three NFL teams from 1988-’96. Nephew of 49ers WR John Taylor. Runs 4.49, vertical jump of 38, broad jump of 10-0 and 16 reps on the bench. In June, he caused an uproar in Phoenix by tweeting that Sun Devils coach Dennis Erickson should be dumped.

Mindkettővel az a baj hogy nem nagyon sikerült egylről a kettőre a lépés. Elérték ezt a közepes szintet de nem nagyon látszik hogy tovább fejlődnének. A liga egyik leg passzoriántáltabb csapatában Aaron Rodgers dobál nekik, ez sem mindegy. Mindkettő stabil fasza 3-4. WR de én többet nem látok bennük.

Szerintem annyira nem lehet problémája vele, elvégre a Packers nagyon sokszor van fent 3-4 akár 5 WR-el is. Ha pedig azt nézzük idén jobban teljesített mint Jordy.

Matthews az alap, a túloldalra kicsit sok a Zombo, Walden, Jones, Elmore csipet-csapat.
Még akkor is, ha valaki kell rotálni. A négyesből szerintem max 3 marad.
Poppinga szerintem szintén menni fog.

A FA-k közül meg Wilhelm tuti, csak az ST-ben volt helye.
