DAVIE— Coach Tony Sparano safely estimates the Miami Dolphins secondary dropped at least two dozen interceptions last season.

He's optimistic those figures should drop in 2011 because the cornerbacks and safeties have been clutch bringing in bad passes during training camp. And there's been plenty of bad passes.

During Tuesday's practice cornerback Benny Sapp picked off a pass from Chad Henne he would have returned for a touchdown.

Cornerbacks Will Allen and Nolan Carroll also brought down interceptions during the 11-on-11 portions of practice….

Backup defensive ends Tony McDaniel and Jared Odrick have spent plenty portions of practices the past three days working with the first-team defense….

OLB Jason Taylor continues to be a disruptive force while working with the starting unit, routinely getting to the quarterbacks....

OT Marc Colombo continues to struggle against quick pass rushers like OLB Cameron Wake. At one point backup Jason Trusnik blew past the 10-year veteran for a would-be sack.


Who's up?

Cornerback Will Allen, who was practicing for the second straight day despite a sore left knee, brought down a Matt Moore interception that was caught close to the sidelines. Allen is working with the second-team defense and it isn't apparent that the knee problems have slowed him down.

Who's down?

On Monday Sparano admitted Moore, the team's backup QB, isn't much of a practice performer. Moore did little to dispel his coaches claims on Tuesday, spraying a few passes all over the field. Moore had a few solid throws (just as many as Chad Henne), but he did throw a bad interception.

Injury update

WR Phillip Livas (hamstring) returned to practice after sitting out two sessions… OLB Koa Misi returned to practice after sitting out two days because of a sprained ankle….TE Mickey Shuler (ankle), ILB Austin Spitler (ankle), OT Jake Long (knee) sat out practice.

Former Miami Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder was on 560 WQAM's The Joe Rose Show on Tuesday and he tossed criticism in the direction of quarterback Chad Henne and general manager Jeff Ireland, while also revealing that he plans to sit out only this season before returning to the NFL.

On Henne and whether he can get the job done:

"As of what I've seen so far? No. I played with him a couple years ... He really hasn't proven anything to me when I played with him and now being on this side, looking down on him as a fan, he's not impressing me, either. He has all the tangibles, I want to say, arm strength ... he can make some good throws, but the intangibles, the winning the game, wanting to have everything on his shoulders, like the Bradys and like the Mannings, and wanting to be down by five with a minute left on the 20-yard-line, let's see what happens, he doesn't have that in his heart yet, and I think it will be hard for him to win, but like I said the proof's in the pudding, so if he comes out this year and going crazy, I'll have my foot in my mouth, but, if I was a betting man, I wouldn't bet on him going crazy."

On Ireland:

"Jeff really didn't like me so I'm pretty sure that if he's still there, I won't be coming back. ... A lot of the politics that they play and Jeff Ireland and them play, I didn't like that. And all the monopolization they have, where they don't want you to go on the radio and they want everybody to say the same thing and be the perfect little soldier, I wasn't a fan of that. ... Everytime I said something crazy, he'd call me up and fine me five grand, 10 grand when I said something real crazy. ... Me and him really never were on the same page. ... But I love Tony Sparano and that's who I really played for. [Despite] the foolishness I had to deal with [Ireland], the Dolphins were great."

On whether he has any itch to play after a week of retirement:

"Oh, no, no, no. I'm good. Watching the preseason games and all and watching guys mess up and miss tackles, and I'm like 'this guy sucks.' (Laughter) I could beat him out. But, it wasn't so much about football as it was about my family and my new wife and my child on the way and having to up an move them when she's due in two weeks. It was more about that. I probably will [come back] next year, two years at most. Probably next year. See if we have any attention, try to get an offer. But, yeah, I'm out this year."

Former Miami Dolphins LB Channing Crowder, who announced his retirement last week, said he is open to returning to the league for the 2012 season. "But, it wasn't so much about football as it was about my family and my new wife and my child on the way and having to up an move them when she's due in two weeks. It was more about that. I probably will (come back) next year, two years at most. Probably next year. See if we have any attention, try to get an offer. But, yeah, I'm out this year," Crowder said.

Persze nem elég de ha kihirdeti sparano a versenyt fél hogy alulmarad.pedig tuti hibázna..én leszltam mooret mikor leigazoltuk,de eddig tetszik,szerintem is eselyt kell adni neki.majd az lesz hene dob 2-3 intet bejön mooore és ha nem bir forditani akkor mehet a levesbe.Miami
