Joe Douglas said they had a “fantastic visit” with Derek Carr in NJ. “He left a strong impression with everybody.”

Joe Douglas won’t say if the #Jets made an offer to Derek Carr.
They’ll be meeting with him in Indy.

Joe Douglas on Quinnen Williams extension talks: “We’ve had several good discussions (with his agent) and we feel really good about where we’re at.”

Joe Douglas said Duane Brown hasn’t informed them of any decision to retire or not yet though he was talking about Brown as if he’d be back before that.

Joe Douglas said the #Jets haven’t made a decision on Mekhi Becton’s fifth year option.

Joe Douglas said they haven’t made any decisions on cap casualties yet. Emphasized that they’re in good cap health because they don’t have any money prorated into the future.

GM Brian Gutekunst in a session with Packers reporters at the combine said he hasn’t spoken much with Aaron Rodgers since their end of season meetings but still hopes for a decision before free agency (March 15).

When QB Derek Carr arrives in Indianapolis today, he’ll have in-person free agent meetings with 3 teams: The #Jets, the #Saints, and the #Panthers. He’s already visited New Orleans and NYJ, now he adds Carolina and maybe more. Coaches, GMs, owners all in the same spot this week.
