nincs is elvárásom semmi azon kívül, hogy se Mendoza, se Bowers, se Jeanty ne sérüljön meg idén súlyosan. Felőlem lehet 0-17 is, leszarom. Aztán jövőre intézni kell a falat mind D, mind O oldalon.

Notes from Raiders practice today:
-Kirk Cousins took all 1s reps in team periods. But Fernando Mendoza had a series with the 1s in a scout team period, and threw touchdowns to Michael Mayer and Brock Bowers. Kirk had TDs in scout as well.
-Mike Washington Jr. took most 1s reps with Ashton Jeanty on the mend. Dylan Laube and Dare Ogunbowale got sporadic snaps with 1s, but mostly with 2s.
-Treydan Stukes continued to take all 1s reps at safety. Isaiah Pola-Mao had some snaps alongside him with the 1s, but it was mostly Jeremy Chinn paired with him while IPM worked mostly with the 2s.
-Jackson Powers-Johnson and Caleb Rogers continued to rotate at right guard with the 1s. Basically alternated series with 1s and 2s.
-Darien Porter continued to take 1s reps at corner opposite Eric Stokes. Hezekiah Masses got one series with 1s in a walkthrough period at the end of practice, while Porter was in with 2s. All of Jermod McCoy's work came with 2s.
-Kirk had 3 TDs in a red zone 7on7 period: 1 to Jalen Nailor and 2 to Brock. Threw incomplete to Brock on a fade as well with Porter in coverage.
-Fernando had 2 TDs in that period: 1 to Albert Okuegbunam and 1 to Deven Thompkins. Also had passes broken up by Tommy Eichenberg and Cody Lindendberg.
-Lots of pressure from defense in team periods. Maxx Crosby had a few sacks, disrupted plays for 1s offense. Adam Butler got through a couple times with 2s.
-Some disjointedness for 1s offense at end of practice. Kirk had 3 straight incompletions: a PBU by Porter on Bowers, a drop by Tre Tucker and a ball too high for Nailor. Kirk wasn't happy.
-Fernando had a really nice ball fit between two defenders to Thompkins on a crosser, but appeared that Thompkins either didn't complete the catch or fumbled later.
-Trey Zuhn continued to work as Mendoza's center with the 2s. Antonio Mafi and Jordan Meredith continued to rotate at left guard with the 2s.
-Dalton Johnson took most of the 2s reps at nickel. Also got some at safety, with Greedy Vance coming in at nickel.

Rap: Ashton Jeanty sprained ankle believed to be "more low than high."

Raiders remain hopeful he will be available Week 1 but there's a chance he won't be ready.

Raiders practice is over. Some notes:
-Kirk Cousins took all 1s reps, Fernando Mendoza took all 2s reps.
-Cousins had a go ball TD to Tre Tucker over Darien Porter in 3rd down period.
-Team ended practice with goal line period. Cousins had a TD pass to Mike Washington in the flat and Michael Mayer over the middle. Mendoza had a TD pass to Brandon Johnson on an out and a pass broken up by Tommy Eichenberg in the end zone.
-Washington took most of 1s reps with Ashton Jeanty out. Dylan Laube mixed in some, but mostly ran with 2s. Dare Ogunbowale rotated with Laube with 2s.
-Tucker and Jalen Nailor mixed in with the 2s at times to work with Mendoza.
-Treydan Stukes took all 1s reps at safety. Isaiah Pola-Mao got a few snaps with 1s but mostly ran with 2s.
-Jackson Powers-Johnson and Caleb Rogers continued to rotate with 1s at RG.
-Foley Fatukasi, Malcolm Koonce and Keyron Crawford all got extended reps with 1s defense.
-Hezekiah Masses and Jermod McCoy continue to be the Raiders 2nd unit corners.
-Trey Zuhn was Mendoza’s center again with 2s.
-Lots of pressure from Maxx Crosby, had a few sacks against right side of OL.
-Cian Slone had some sacks with 2s defense.
-Antonio Mafi and Jordan Meredith rotated at LG with 2s.

The Raiders and Intermountain Health announced a $25 million gift to help build Nevada's first stand-alone children's hospital today.

Raiders owners Mark Davis, Egon Durban, and Michael Meldman each contributed $5 million toward the development. The Raiders organization committed the additional $10 million.

Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty, who had to be helped off the practice field today, is believed to have sprained his ankle, sources tell @rapsheet and me. The Raiders still are unsure how long he will be out, but it is not considered a long-term injury and the organization is breathing a sigh of relief tonight. Raiders declined comment on Jeanty’s injury.

Raiders joint practice with the Texans is over. Some takeaways:
- Fernando Mendoza got extensive reps with the 1s. Kirk Cousins would go first, but for a few team periods the Raiders kept the 1s out when Mendoza subbed in. First time we’ve seen that.
- Texans defense got a lot of pressure, making both quarterbacks uncomfortable. Lots of sacks coming from both sides of the O-line.
- Brock Bowers had the highlights for the offense. Caught a big post route down the field from Mendoza early, then caught a touchdown from Kirk in the red zone team period. Was the only passing TD of the day.
- Mendoza was nearly picked by Kamari Lassiter in the red zone period and then threw a pick 6 to Jalen Pitre two plays later.
- Kirk threw a pick 6 to Lassiter in final team period.
- Mike Washington looked good against the 2s. Had a physical TD run in red zone. Running the ball against the Texans 1s looked bleak.
- Texans had success running the ball against Raiders defense. Woody Marks had a couple of TDs.
- Raiders defense got a good pass rush however, Maxx Crosby had a couple of sacks.
- Quay Walker had an INT against an RB wheel and showed some attitude after.
- Jermod McCoy got some reps with 1s defense

- Will Anderson Jr blew up multiple Jeanty runs. Raiders couldn’t get anything going on the ground, both Kirk & Mendoza got picked off

Some positives for the Raiders:
- Mendoza looked poised early on, had a beautiful deep completion to Bowers
- Maxx Crosby got at least 1 sack on CJ
- Great INT by Quay Walker
- Mike Washington had a big run

Main theme: Texans overwhelmed Vegas through the air & the D-line had their way (no surprise)

Számomra az offense-ből csak az OL a kérdés. A WR sor számomra pont így jó, hogy nincs egy nagy név sem, de bárkiben benne van a potenciál. Viszont az OL az nagy kérdőjel, de addig amíg nincs Mendoza, addig az sem igazán érdekel, addig lehet próbálkozni a legjobb összeállítással, de ha ez nem megy, akkor jövőre mindenképpen kell ide draftolni is és akár még FA-ról is valaki.

A nagyobb baj a védelem, egyrészt Leonardnak még lehet hogy nagy lesz a kabát és Holcomb (senior assistant) sem egy veretes név a szakmában, másrészt az emberanyag is elég vegyes képet mutat. Remélhetőleg lesz egy-két játékos aki a szürke zónából egy kicsit előre lép, de minden bizonnyal hiányzik egy jó NT illetve a secondary-ból is egy vagy kettő olyan játékos, aki a posztján a TOP20-ban azért benne van, mert jelenleg azért inkább átlag alatti játékosok szerepelnek itt. Visszatérve az edzőkre is, valószínűleg a rendszer is új lesz Pierce után, ami tovább gyengítheti a csapatot. Ha túl egyszerű, akkor azért mert outcochingolva lesznek, ha meg túl bonyolult, akkor nem egy offseason alatt lehet csodát várni.

Szóval én is amondó vagyok, hogy 5-6 győzelem körül leszünk idén, aztán a következő szezonban lehet jobb eredményt várni. (huh de sokszor elhangzott már ez itt a raiders topicban az utóbbi 20 évben 😛)

Én mondtam, Graham egy kurva jó DC volt, főleg, hogy nézhető védelmet faragott ebből, meg ennél rosszabb brigádokból.

Én tartok tőle, hogy Leonard egy Paul Guenther 2.0., aki amúgy kurva jól nézett ki Zimmer és Marvin Lewis alatt.
