Nekem CMIII már lassan olyan, mint Sobrinak Tebow 😊. Egyébként a pff-en van egy jó statisztikai a fal belső pass rush hatékonyságáról, amit sokan, úgy tudom te is, a védelme egyik legnagyobb gyengeségének tart. A cikk alátámasztja ezt a nézőpontot:

Szintén zenész. A csapatok egyre kevesebb időt tudnak base felállásban tölteni, mert a 4 DB nem elég a többelkapós felállások ellen. Ezért előtérbe kerülnek a nickel és dime felállások. De ilyet tud (bármilyen meglepő) 43-as és 34-es csapat is kiállítani kisebb agytorna után.

A Jets Coples, DeVito, Pouha, Wilkerson négyes egyidőben pályára küldésére meg nagyon kíváncsi lennék.

Legyen ellenpélda is, a Texans egy rövid offseason alatt állt át 34-re és eléggé bejött nekik.

Az, hogy a nagy rohanás után a 34 felé, lett egy kisebb megtorpanás törvényszerű volt:

Mindkettő védelmi sémának vannak prototípus játékosai. 34 RDE, 34 OLB illetve 43 RDE, 43 UT/3-tech. Most a sok védőváltás miatt utóbbihoz könnyebben hozzá lehet férni, akár FA akár draft révén.

A Pats átállása mögött, ha tényleg megtörténik, hogy gyakorlatilag standard lesz a négytagú védőfal az a egyszerű felismerés állhat, hogy nincs minőség a védőfalban a 34 DL-hez.

Végül vissza Clayton cikkéhez, érdekes lenne tőle elolvasni, hogy miért jobb annyival a 425, mint a 335 nickel felállásban, például a Miami esetében.

"The New England Patriots have a few offseason injuries to key players. But perhaps none is more concerning or serious than guard Logan Mankins' knee injury.

The Pro Bowler unknowingly played in the Super Bowl with an ACL tear in February and later had offseason surgery. The average recovery time is about nine months, which should take Mankins into November, if not later. The Patriots can put him on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list and not have to worry about his roster spot until six games into the season.

Mankins is a strong possibility to join other big-name players on the PUP such as Terrell Suggs (Achilles) and Rashard Mendenhall (knee). The Patriots have been hush-hush about Mankins' recovery. But chances appear slim he could make it back in time for the Sept. 9 regular-season opener against the Tennessee Titans. "

Olvastam egy kinti fórumon, hogy a PFF szerint Ballard 33-ik volt a ligában a TE-k között futásblokkolásban. Mit gondoltok ki a ligában az első? A mi duci, frissen igazolt Bennettünk. Szerintem ezek a mutatók nagy szerepet játszottak Ballard elengedésében. Úgy látszik, hogy hiába csinált nagy és fontos elkapásokat az elmúlt szezonban, nincs rá akkora szükség a passzjátékban, mint egy jobban blokkoló TE-re futásoknál.gyurczi

Nagyon gyűjti a csapat tight endeket. Daniel Grahamet is ketette a Titans. Crumpler szerepkörre visszajöhetne egy évre.DoM

Hernandez-en kívül nincs egészséges TE a keretben, a DE Silvestro játszik hetek óta TE-et edzéseken. (Scaife múlt héten erőnléti hiányosságokkal küzdött(!?)) Ballard-ot nem értem, rendben van, minket szopatott, de idény elejéig biztos nem lesz bevethető, blokkolásban nem az igazi. BB ezen a poszton lelte meg új fétisét. 😊tomi-tomi
